TO LEARN A LITTLE SOMETHING:

April 30, 2018

SPEC WITH COLORS

This is a follow-up to my posting about my occasional EMF problems that I wrote  about yesterday in Luddite, Not Troglodyte.     We might as well learn  something  about  the  technological  soup we live in.

ElectroMagnetic Frequencies come in  wavelengths.   That center little rainbow shows the frequencies that we can see with our eyes.    Any strong or directed frequency is harmful to our bodies,  from   “radiation”  and x-rays on the left of the chart to  infrared and  subsonic weapons found on the right-hand side.

(Left:  extremely short wavelengths;  right:  extremely long wavelengths)

Here’s an easier way to see the frequency numbers of our visible light.

SPEC WITH NUMBERS

Our eyes are organs that can “see”   these particular frequencies.

Our circadian   rhythms depend on the daily lightening and darkening of visible light,  with the “darkening”  having very much less blue light.    The blue light that you want to eliminate two hours before “bedtime”  is light frequencies below (smaller than)  530 mm.  (In case you’re buying filters.)

Other  frequencies that drastically affect our health and well-being comes from the many communication  antennas that we live under,  drive under,  and that are inevitably pointed at your home.  Nothing personal there —  businesses and governments,  individuals and law enforcement all need those antennas to be spewing out and relaying those frequencies.

tower lines

You can find Websites that reveal how many cell phone towers your address is affected by.   Here are mine:

My Towers

There are  19 cell phone towers which  reach my address with their microwave frequencies.   The only way to shield your home and avoid the subtle changes they make in your thinking,  your health,  and your sense of well-being,  is to surround your home with a Faraday cage.    Our government calls these Quiet Rooms.

I have another spreadsheet like this which shows all the communication transmitting antennas which “transmit”  frequencies into my home.    That is a list of 124 antennas!!

Just so you know.

I’m not going to post the long list of official CDC-acknowledged health effects –  it’s way too depressing,   because we can do nothing about it.   There is no federal health agency that   will protect us,  and your local doctor has no education in this matter.

And look out for the killer 5G cell towers that are being erected all over this country and elsewhere, chiefly in English-speaking countries, for some reason.     (They say it is necessary because of  “congestion.”     They say we are all clamoring for “faster” Internet service.    They’re saying it’s not much more than our current  “Generation.”)

towers

Because these towers are so strong,  they don’t transmit very far and so they must be built  CLOSE to houses and businesses.

tower to home

Our local township government can’t stop the construction of  these 5G towers.  We’ve already asked.     When pushed,  my Township people alluded to foreign governing sources and international corporations.

“Corporations + governments?”

You can take it from there.

MEN BEING MEN

April 30, 2018

I’m not a man     Because I’m not a man I’m very interested in this issue:

Texas!    A long, tall  Texan!   Quintessential masculine-type man!

tex built

Now,   I’m  just having fun with these pictures.   Of course not every man from Texas looks like this.     And not every man needs to look like this . . .  to be a man.   But strength of character,  directness,  watchfulness,  decisiveness,  honesty,  plain and gentle speaking, protectiveness  are some of the qualities looked for in a man.

A well-known Texan:

George Strait

The well-known Texas law man type:

tex ranger one

A Texas Ranger exemplifies a good honest lawman that is capable of getting the bad guy.

tex rangers two

You just get the feeling that they are “man enough”  to get the job done.     You’re safer with lawmen like this.      And they have a fine, long and honorable  history

Tex historic

Manly men.

Hard-working men:

tex business

I love hardworking cowboys.

They know what they’re after;  they know how to do it.:
tex cowboys

I love to see men in plaid:

tex plaid

(Is this getting too personal?)

There’s a reason I’m “having fun”  with photos of men like this.      It comes from the University of Texas which is just the latest focal point of anti-masculine doctrines.   Schools and universities all over our country are promoting the idea that there is something wrong with being masculine.    Television “programming”  have been doing that for many years in their entertainment and in their advertising.

According to an article in PJ Media,   “masculinity”  is now a Mental Health Issue.  This Texas university has allowed its counseling department to develop a “healthy” masculinity program,  by which they warn against – of course –  actual healthy masculinity.

Here’s the problem in their eyes:

The program is predicated on a critique of so-called “restrictive masculinity.” Men, the program argues, suffer when they are told to “act like a man” or when they are encouraged to fulfill traditional gender roles, such as being “successful” or “the breadwinner.”

Did you men realize you are “restricted” for being just what you are?

Who are these people targeting?      They are targeting young boys and young men who are in the process of assimilating the characteristics of masculinity from the good role models around them.

A very precarious process, I hear,  nowadays.

Take heart.  There are plenty of women who feel comforted around normal, natural masculinity.     Your moms;  your sisters;   your daughters.

And, oh yes,   those women who are looking for a good, reliable husband.

It’s the natural order of the world.

SPEAKING OF AMBER, ORANGE, “BUTTERSCOTCH”

April 30, 2018

glasses

I wrote about my amber-colored blue-light blocking glasses in the last post.
Reminded me of another use of the color amber.

Biased much?

If you look up photos of President Trump on the image section of any Search Engine,  you’ll get the most grotesque, distorted, outrageous set of facial features you could ever imagine.    Sure, some people are not very photogenic.

Remember the days when the entertainment-news media used to color his face and hair orange and then make fun of the coloring?

orange shine

orange up

ORANGE

orang hair

Sometimes I noticed that even the podium he was using or the walls behind him were smeared with an unnatural orange color too.

Then I guess all the jokes about “Orange Slime”  etc.,  got old,  and they aren’t bothering to show him with orange hair anymore.

no orange single

No orange

no ornage

Just a curious thing I’ve noticed.

This was a very obvious, very sophomoric attempt to denigrate the man and make him look silly.      But,  more seriously,    his enemies haven’t stopped trying to tear him down.    They are doing more sinister things.    I’m not talking about the  96%-98%   negative coverage of President Trump on television and social media — that should make us all pause at the consequences of that!

But as marxist/progressives commonly do,  they are coming after the children.   There have been articles about modern textbooks being published quickly for use in high schools.  Here are some quotes from a  Canadian news source*   reporting on a new Advanced Placement history textbook:

Teaching kids that President Trump is “mentally ill” and that his supporters are “a bunch of ignorant, poor, white hillbillies” is not just an insult to Trump and supporters, it’s an insult to truth that is being replaced by outright lies. . . .

High school textbooks that depict President Donald Trump as “mentally ill” and his supporters as “a bunch of ignorant, poor, white hillbillies” and that teach 6-year-olds anal sex are the perfect hide-y-hole for the uninterrupted indoctrination of school children by the public education system.

“The book goes on to describe President Trump as an extremist and his “not-very-hidden racism connected with a significant number of primary voters.”

Their conclusion:

“This is what public school indoctrination looks like, folks. There’s no telling how many history teachers will be using this textbook to poison the minds of their students.

“They may as well be using Saul Alinsky’s “Rules For Radicals.”

One would hope that Americans are familiar with Saul Alinksy and his “Progressives.”

This is not about being “for Trump” or “against Trump.”  This is about deliberately  distorting the truth about an individual to serve a political agenda.       It is about teaching students to believe one political group and to hate the other political group. Educating children has become an act of hate.

AN ENEMY HAS DONE THIS

April 18, 2018

Two posts ago I wrote “End All Inquiry.”     But –  if you don’t have a broad range of intellectual tools and a broad knowledge base,   how are you going to  inquire?

It’s as if the entertainment-news media  (and whoever controls them)   just wants us to accept what they say,  as truth.        How’d that come to pass?

I know we allow a flood of information rushing in  at us all the time –   very little of it essential news  – but it’s almost like we don’t know how to analyze any of the information, so we say  “I don’t have the time.”      Or mental energy.     Or ability.

The “mental ability”  of ordinary American citizens  (past) —

Another school,  another exam:

Govt Hist Test

An American student is expected to “Describe the battle of Quebec” ?

Why is “Antietam”  so important?

Question # 9.     This exam was written before President Bill Clinton.    But,   so,  what was he impeached for, exactly?   An accurate answer should be part of our Common Cultural  knowledge.

School rooms which taught children  basic facts and how to analyze them used to look like this:

schoolroom 1

These schoolrooms were successful.

In case you didn’t catch the size:

schoolroom 2

About thirty years ago many experts were analyzing the deplorable state of American schools, based upon how little students knew from one year to another –  and compared with what previous generations knew.

President Ronald Reagan   concluded in his famous comment on the state of education in our county:        If an enemy had done this to our schools,  we would call it an Act of War!”

An Act of War,  what has been done to our schools.

Keep the children ignorant –  and they can be led to believe anything they’re told.

“Great”   for when elections come around.

An empty,  muddled mind is  good  ground  for Propaganda.

.*   An example:  how much more time is taken up by  politically correct propaganda informing students that Columbus did NOT discover America,  and that he and other Whites committed genocide and stole the country away from the indigenous people and how other ethnic groups sailed to America long before Columbus, so he wasn’t special, and it’s only  White prejudice  that used to make him a hero,  and the indigenous people deserve reparations for what they experienced  500 years ago  and America has nothing to be proud of and we don’t even deserve to have this nation!   . . .     how much time on this compared to just answering the question:  How did Columbus do it.

Politically Correct propaganda like this anchors us to the  20th century spread of marxism and the demeaning of Western Culture.      These agenda-driven propagandists might not be able to explain why.   (heh)

Gloomy Cloud

By the way,  a real  grudge from a former teacher —     NEVER  say:     “to you and I,”  or   “for he and I,”     or  “with she and I”     or any other breach of the parts of speech.    It doesn’t just show ignorance,  it’s evidence of  the pervasive miseducation of Americans and it says:  “I don’t even care.”

And things in our nation are not going to change.

“My teacher gave my friend and I a book about Global Warming.”     (‘Right’!)

“Our friends told she and I all about Trump.”      (Doubt it.)

“The news showed my wife and I how Assad used chemical weapons . . .”     (Nope)

Just a sign.   Just a sign.

THE AGENDA’S POWERFUL TOOL

April 12, 2018

The most powerful tool that can be used against good people by those who want to change those good people so they can  promote their Agenda –  is Forgetfulness.

Just de-emphasize a point in history.    Stop teaching it.   Spread  controversy about it that makes most people turn away in confusion and disgust.

TODAY is  HOLOCAUST REMEMBRANCE DAY.     “Never again!”  is the cry of the people of modern Israel.        But there’s a problem, as noted by these headlines:

Europe’s Jews Facing Resurgent Anti-Semitism, Highest Levels ‘Since the Second World War’

Jewish communities across Europe are enduring a level of mainstream anti-Semitism “not seen since the Second World War,” the European Jewish Congress has warned.

This news story and many others like it are rather  disheartening – and  scary. .  Jewish schools, synagogues, and people on the street are being attacked, and not only verbally.     And especially with the spread of people from the   m o  s l   e m    world,   the danger is increasing in intensity and geography.

Who knows about this?   Who cares?   Well,    here’s another news article:

CBS  News reports: NEW YORK —

More than one-fifth of millennials in the U.S. — 22 percent — haven’t heard of, or aren’t sure if they’ve heard of, the Holocaust, according to a study published Thursday, on Israel’s Holocaust Remembrance Day.   The study, which was commissioned by The Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany and conducted by Schoen Consulting, also found that 11 percent of U.S. adults overall haven’t heard of the Holocaust or aren’t sure if they did.

Two-thirds of millennials could not identify in the survey what Auschwitz was.

Additionally, 41 percent of millennials believe two million Jews or fewer were killed during the Holocaust, the study found.

According to Official  History, now,  six million Jews were killed in World War II by Nazi Germany and its accomplices.    You are not really allowed to analyze that number or even ask where it came from.     Decades ago it was a legitimate question in colleges and universities,  but no more – not since the Spirit of Totalitarianism has been slowly creeping into Western Civ.

But that’s okay.   I’m not a professional historian.     I’m good with  saying six million.  It’s certainly symbolic of the huge psychic shock   of genocide experienced by both Jews and  non-Jews.

There are very few survivors of Auschwitz left to tell the true story. Eva Kor is one of them.   I met her, I’ve heard her speak, and I wrote about here life here:

https://thesprucetunnel.wordpress.com/2015/07/20/eva-the-eternal-word-and-a-rejection/

. . . and her message here:

https://thesprucetunnel.wordpress.com/2015/07/23/eva-the-elephant-and-empathy/

(1)     Perhaps it’s also  a good day to see again Schindler’s List.      (2)    There are many good novels about life in Germany during the 1930s and 1940s.    (3)   Netflix has an excellent series on Hitler’s Inner Circle.      ALL of these sources of information help us to understand ourselves and perhaps – maybe –  prevent such a thing from happening again.    (I’m not one of the optimistic ones, though.)

TODAY is  HOLOCAUST REMEMBRANCE DAY.

Please give it a thought.

There are those who would like us to disconnect us from our past:

“He who controls the present,  controls the past.  He who controls the past controls the future.”

Our future.

AGENDA THROUGH A ONE-STICK DRUM

April 12, 2018

What does a one-stick drum sound like?

“boom    boom  boom   boom   boom   boom . . . .”

(Eventually you get the point.  Oh –   it’s “boom.”)

_____________________________________

About getting your agenda through –   if you pound the public with only one side of the story,   eventually the public “softens”  and accepts that one point of view.

Ever see a drum and bugle corps performance  – in person?

drum corps

It’s an amazing thing.     Dozens of drummers playing a rich complex, musical rhythm that is quite mesmerizing.   It’s an artistic experience that fully engulfs you.

But —   one drum stick?    Imagine –

single drumstick

Bang.        Bang.         Bang.           Boom.    Boom.    Boom.

Not much of a musical experience!

But one single drum beat, repeated,  can have quite an effect on our mental  processes:

drum info.jpg cr

    . . .  boom   . . .   boom . . . boom  . . .    boomity boom . . . boom . . .

. . .boom . . . trump . . . boom . . .  russia . . . boom . . .  collusion . . .  boom . . .  trump . . . boom . . .  russia . . . boom . . .  collusion . . .      According to polls of Democrats,  68% of them think that  “President Trump’s campaign colluded with Russia in order to get elected.”

Huh?      Proof,  evidence,  testimony,  paper documents, and the money trail  all show that the Hillary campaign  colluded with the Russians   (to obtain a false document that was presented to the FISA court to get permission to spy on an American citizen who worked on the Trump campaign . . .    Hillary colluded . . .     with a Russian government official and a former British spy who declares his hatred of President Trump  and who obtained that false document and transmitted it to members of the Hillary campaign.

I understand, however, that the drumbeat from the entertainment-news media uses the word  “trump”  and   “russia”  and   “collusion”   like a    boom boom boom   from one drumstick on a drum.

68% of Democrat voters think that it was Trump who colluded.

____________________________________

You can do it with science too.    “Boom out”  or broadcast only one set of facts,   false facts or true facts, as long as they’re one-sided,  one drumstick . . . .

In  spite of many thousands of scientists,  with thousands of studies, that show that the planet’s average temperature is not rising,  it may be cooling slightly,  antarctic ice is not disappearing,  it’s actually growing,   ocean levels are not rising, and the penguins and polar bears are safe,    in spite of all  that,   “Global Climate Change”  problems are still being promoted.

It has to be promoted.    The flow of  hundreds of Billions of US dollars is at stake.

Remember the news article a few months ago that some antarctic expedition returned with the dismaying report that even the Emperor Penguins have disappeared?

penguins

Did you hear that a very large colony of them have been “found”?   They had just moved to another part of Antarctica.    (That’s the “other half”  of the story.)

Ice is melting in Antarctica?     Ice is melting in Antarctica.   Ice is melting in Antarctica.   Ice is melting in Antarctica. . . .

No.    According to a BBC  report  (a Far Leftist source of information)

Some 272 billion tonnes more snow were being dumped on the White Continent annually in the decade 2001-2010 compared with 1801-1810.

This yearly extra is equivalent to twice the water volume found today in the Dead Sea.

And:  10%   more precipitation (snow)   in that same time period.   (Remember,  Ice Ages don’t begin with lower temperatures –  it doesn’t get “icy cold’ in an Ice Age.  What happens is that snow falls are greater,  earlier in the Fall, later in the Spring, and less of it melts from one winter to another.  The ice pack increases in depth;  glacier-type ice forms and grows in depth from one year to another.

(The BBC article is obliged to tell us that the ice is melting down there on one part “really fast” — but they don’t strike with the other drumsticks:  (1)   the part of the ice shelf that is melting is already floating over the water –  that ice melt won’t add to ocean levels,  (2)   underneath those parts of the melting ice shelves are not “automobiles and cow flatulence from evil meat-eaters”;   underneath the ice are many new volcanoes,  91 new ones so far have been discovered.  The water is being warmed in that vicinity by volcanoes.)

_________________________________________

Back to the U.S.        Lots and lots of drum booms for “March of Women who Hate Trump and Wear Pink Hats” and “March for Women’s Rights”  and the march against gun-ownership   where many schools facilitated their students field trip to Washington DC to participate and   boom . . .  boom . . .  boom    lots of celebrities promoted themselves by being interviewed with the marchers . . .

Hardly a sound about the much larger marches and demonstrations such as the February   “March for Life,”   the many  rallies supporting Pres. Trump and his policies,    and this week’s  Students March Against Abortion –   with 365 schools around the country participating.    But I can’t find any information on that yet.

Just . . .   no information.

____________________________________________

Maybe this is an exercise in Zen paradoxes:    What is the sound of one hand clapping?

Facebook and Twitter and YouTube take away one hand in our country –  the conservative hand.

“Zen” ideas are nice and sweet,   cute,   but this can get dangerous for the world too.   There are many governments around the world who are questioning the source of the chemical gas attack in Syria.   Some are even questioning whether it happened.

drum jungle

I don’t know.  I don’t have an opinion on that.     There is an extremely LOUD SCREEN of BOOM BOOM BOOM –  President Assad did it to his own people  –   BOOM  BOOM  BOOM    . . .    Assad did it    –   Assad did it   –    Assad did it  . . .

Aren’t those called  WAR DRUMS?

warriors

All our Founding Fathers agreed that in order to hold on to our nation, the voting public   would have to be well-informed and intelligent enough to understand the  issues.   We have to work very hard today to become well-informed.     Too hard.

Some people have an Agenda to insert into our country.    They need to “transform”  the American people.    They need for the American people to acquiesce to their agenda.

They seem to have a very loud single drumstick.

The other half of the story:

In a follow-up to the unexplained death of Deputy Sheriff  Fitzsimons in a couple posts ago –    one of the things he was questioning is why there was permission granted for the Parkland students (and associates)  to assemble in Washington DC before the shooting even happened.

Seems strange.   I still can’t find the .jpeg of that email,  but here is a copy of the words from that email inquiry:

Good morning,

In reference to your inquiry concerning the March For Our Lives Demonstration, here in the District of Columbia on March 24, 2018. MPD received a permit application several months prior to the actual event, and there was several months of planning for this large event.

AGENDA THROUGH PRESTIDIGITATION

April 10, 2018

“Prestidigitation” – used to be of my favorite words to say when I was a child!

Prestidigitaion

Card tricks!     The hand is quicker than the eye!     While the trickster distracts you with some clever, interesting activity,  his hands quickly set up the presentation of the trick.

___________________________________

This can be a really short entry.

Let’s hypothesize . . .   there is a female porn star whom some cable news channels   are using to get attention, boost their ratings, maybe.  The porn star seems to have committed extortion:    I’ll accept your money and I won’t expose our former one-night “relationship.”

Nobody thinks about the successful extortion — although we’re left in a state of confusion about that.

And NOBODY is thinking  beyond some other minor headlines that say “Democrats win in an area where Trump had won big just seventeen months ago.”

Hmmmmmm.     In 17 months the voters have switched sides?      In so many different elections?    small counties . . .  minor elected positions?       T rump’s approval with the voters is going up in the polls.     What’s going on?

Well,  George Soros,  et al.,  are going on.    It’s been reported that Soros and his many sub-affiliates are pouring money into small local elections around the country.  Soros is not an American citizen,  but he is an anti-American Globalist who is well armed with money, means, and methods for putting “Progressives”   in  place – for future action.

While our attention  is drawn towards repetitive news stories or salacious news stories or political speculations that mean nothing,   the real action is going on where we are not looking.

What are all those “Progressives”  progressing towards?

Prestidigitiataon opposite

Prestidigitation  isn’t fun if you don’t know it’s happening!

AGENDA THROUGH CONFUSION

April 10, 2018

Has the entertainment-news media reported this story to you?

Okay,  I wrote some serious things in the last post.  I was observing the similarity between today’s Propaganda – Intimidation – and Elimination of thoughts that are contrary to the Politically Correct ideals of a Fascist/Socialist state –  either under Goebbel’s masterful use of propaganda a couple generations ago or . . .  now.

I just made my statement;  I don’t have to give examples;  but I can;   and they are so abundant that I will.

Here’s a fine healthy young man:

Deputy

He happens to be the same age as one of my “loved ones,”  not too different in physique, actually,  although this guy went too far in “body-sculpting”   and no one I know would display in public  his (or her) own nudity above the waist!)   Anyway,  I could take this personally.

But this is a selfie, I guess, recently posted on his Fa ce bo ok page.      His name is Deputy Sheriff Jason Fitzsimons,  just over forty years old,  healthy, as you can see.   He is a deputy in the county where Parkland schools are located.   He was there on the day of the shooting, part of the investigation —   and he had some questions.

Some politically incorrect questions, including why the shooting was SO QUICKLY exploited by the Democratic Party to promote their anti-gun ownership agenda.  He posted his questions on his Fac eb ook  page.   (screenshot):

Deputy FB

Four days after his “selfie” picture was taken Deputy Sheriff Jason Fitzsimons was dead.

Here’s where the Agenda by Confusion comes in:

“He died  suddenly.”

“He committed suicide.”

“He died of unknown causes.”

And that Fa ceb bo ok  page of his has been taken down.

I understand the logical fallacy of  post hoc ergo propter hoc,  but, coincidentally,   that same day that I read about Fitzsimons,   I saw a photo of an email that contained the confirmation  of Approval for an application for an anti-gun  march in  Washington DC to take place in mid-March.

The  application and approval were both dated in February, about a month before the tragic event at Parkland.

I see that  people are questioning that too.

As with Goebbels,  we don’t get straight answers;  we don ‘t get the facts in  a news story;  we do get he said/she said reporting;   and  we do get conflicting accounts – with no follow-ups.

“We’ll never know the whole story and both sides are ‘equal’ anyway, so we might as well just not get too involved and settle for what we’re told to believe.”

So much easier to control a population that way.

The National Socialist entertainment-news propaganda method:           entertainment-propaganda entertainmentpropaganda  entertainpropmenta     ganda enterpropa tainment   ganda enterpropatain gandament propaganda – entertainment – entertainment- – propanews – media . . . ganda.

That is:     entertainment with intermittent bits of palatable propaganda.

I very, very, very much wish that everyone would know, at an instant,   just who Joseph Goebbels was.  I wish we’d remember  well   his role as the very cunning and successful  Propaganda Minister of the National Socialist party in Germany,  in the 1930s and 1940s.

But knowing that he was Hitler’s Propaganda Minister is not enough;  knowing what he did in that position and the methods he used to bend and manipulate   German thinking  is far more important.

Because it could happen again, that way.

radio

The last several times I’ve been with groups of friends I noticed that somewhere in the conversation it eventually comes up that “there’s nothing good to watch on TV anymore.” The group agrees and gives examples.   The same complaint is made for movies and music and radio shows, and, of course,  those ever disappointing entertainment-news programs.

Then there’s another common theme:   “It’s all the same.”     Or: “I don’t feel comfortable with any of it.”      The content of all the media seems to be a direct assault on common sense,  on morality,  and  on American values.     Immoral.    Uninformative.    Inaccurate.    Untrue.

movie studio

movie studio

In order to popularize German socialist thinking,  Goebbels got control of all the radio programming,  movie production studios,   newspapers, and publications:

typewriter newspaper copy

typing out news articles

Billboards, posters, pamphlets,  all media seemed to have the same intention — to advance the agenda of the National Socialists.

posters

All countries did it too, to fight the Nazi propaganda machine.   Nnot long after the war laws were passed against propaganda,  but it was too valuable a tool to lay down altogether.   Recently, a decade or so ago,   those laws were removed altogether.

(Really!   It’ss now legal for government agencies to use propaganda in  American media!)

Propaganda was  used by this, that, or the other interest group,  with subtlety and discretion,  but always with the dangerous potential that this powerful tool could get into the hands of a determined and well-organized enemy with an agenda to Transform America into something that Americans don’t want.

The German people were not Nazis – not until this propaganda machine began to transform them — and accompanied by the  enforcement might of  (in American terms)  the Justice Department,  the rogue FBI contingent,  the rogue Internal Revenue Service,  and many others in that so-called Deep State that seems to be setting policy for us.

They are writing and rewriting television, movie, music, comedy, and advertising content to promote the Blue-Progressive-Anti-Trump message with all the means used by Joseph Goebbels.   It worked for him.

poll

This graph represents the conclusions of several different media studies.     Anywhere from 91%  to 95% of “news”  coverage has been NEGATIVE  for Trump and his policies and his supporters.

There are numerous attempts to criminalize opposition political opinion.    (That’s another whole issue to pursue!)

Again:  it worked for Goebbels and the National Socialist:  propaganda   plus enforcement!

Do we really want to go down that path?

RE-REPELLING THE INVASION

April 9, 2018

After the Roman Empire fell,  Christianity grew and expanded in the Middle East, in northern Africa,  and in Europe,  and along with it came a restoration and expansion of civilization.

The mandate of Jesus Christ was to tell of his life and death and resurrection to people all over the world.    Blessings followed.    Civilization with its advances in law and order,   justice,   civil organization,    knowledge and discoveries,  humanitarian institutions,   advancements in human health and safety . . . .literacy . . . .

And then something happened.    Islam began, and it grew and expanded:

map spread

All the brightly colored areas are regions where Islam expanded.    It’s important to note that in all those colored regions,  Christianity was struggling with  heretical forces which threatened to change the teachings of Christianity,

Heresy.    Defeat.      Heresy  =  Defeat

The chief heresy in all those regions was Ariansim –  the doctrine that Jesus Christ was just a man . . . .   special, maybe,  but not the Divine  Son of God.

Each Christian area remembered the names of those strong and courageous  people who firmly established Christianity there.   St. Irenaeus and St Denis of France.    After the seventh century the m o s l e m s  crossed into Spain and began invading into France, until stopped by the (miraculous)  victory of an outnumbered Charles Martel.

Martel in b attle

The seventh and eighth centuries were ones of danger and fear for many Christians in Europe, until at last there was victory.

st denis

Basilica honoring St. Denis in Paris

Now we seem to have a  need to repel the same invaders.      Each week there are several examples in the news.     (We’re not talking about legal immigrants into countries where the individual immigrants want to  become a part of the existing culture)

Two weeks ago,  in a great old church named in honor of St. Denis in France there was a small contemporary  sample of this new ongoing  invasion   —   that was instantly labeled fake news by the Far Left media,  including the Extreme Leftist duo in America known as “Snopes.”

st denis invaded

Now, I’ve seen the video of this “disturbance.”

Denis 3

About 80  “young men”  shouting out  Moslem demands for easier access to “asylum”  forced their way into this cathedral . . .  and then the police were called.     The video showed very loud and unruly “young men”  shouting (in French), carrying sticks,   and  making their way into the church and then resisting the police as the police tried to get them out.

The Leftists say this was not an “attack” on a Catholic church.     Fine.     Looked and sounded like an attack,   but at the very least it was an example of increasingly violent M o  s l e m demands to be allowed into France,  no matter what.      If France does not change its laws . . .?

Most of the French people have left Christianity.       What usually follows is . . .  Defeat.

Re-fighting the invasion in Cyprus:

cyprus

In that gray-colored island there, Cyprus,   in the  Greek territory,  another Christian church was attacked.

From a news report:

Wednesday night, about 20 Muslim migrants attacked a Christian congregation outside St. Mary’s church during the holy liturgy in Leukosia, Greece’s Pronews reports.  Most of the Christians were inside the church when 20 Muslims suddenly arrived at the temple’s yard and began screaming, cursing, and beating the attendees.

According to statements given by locals at Sigma live news, one of the Muslims was waving an adze and tried to use it against members of the congregation. The Muslims disappeared after the police, called in by the terrorized believers, appeared on the scene….

Every week,   all  around northern Africa and the Mediterranean and in Europe  there are news reports of the aggressive behavior of these “migrants.”

A slow-motion invasion is still an invasion.       And no matter who orders the invasion,  it’s still an invasion when the “migrants”  have no intention of assimilating into the country they are being brought into:

UN

People all over the Unites States  (and in Europe)  are being ordered to sit still and do nothing,  just “receive”  these invaders.   Churches are being charged with the responsibility to move these foreigners in.     Often social organizations  volunteer to move the migrants from one continent to another.

This is not immigration,  this is  forced cultural redistribution.     It is the disintegration of civilization.

Refugee Resettlement Watch reports that an “Ahmed,”  now living in  Louisville KY with a group of other Somalian “refugees”   says this:   “Man, we didn’t choose Louisville, they (the United Nations High Commission for Refugees) choose for you, and you take the destination they offer.”

You’ve heard this has been going on for years  in all the formerly  Christian areas.  Now the governments in these areas have formally  rejected Christianity and so has the majority of the populations.

Who will do the repelling?

IT’S GETTIN’ UGLY OUT THERE

April 5, 2018

I’ve got to put this under humor.  Sort of.     I think this is a Ramble that didn’t quite make it to a Rant.    But enjoy the visuals.

________________________________________

It was 7:03 p.m. tonight, and I thought,  Good, we can start our class just about on time.

Bad arch 1

People like to come early and talk – lots of things for  friends to talk about.    Even though I know this is good for them for so many reasons,  I have to stop the discussion and get the class started and I usually don’t manage to do that until quite a bit later than I’d like.

However, at 7:03:05  someone made a remark,  which was commented on, which elicited more comments and more . . .  it was a good heartfelt mini-discussion, and I got in on it too.

Bad arch 2

We were actually marveling that so many things were going so wrong in our culture.  (“How did we as  a society let that happen?”)   We are not taking care of our most needy, our most vulnerable.

bad arch 3

Insane

Mental health facilities have closed  “by government decree”  without any provisions for taking care of these people who are not capable of taking care of themselves.

bad arch 4

Needy people of every “stripe” and  every “color,”  as the saying goes,  are being left to fend for themselves.   On the streets.   Or destroying families because family members really don’t have the ability to take care of such severe mental health needs.

bad arch 5

Unspoken, but maybe on many minds, was the fact that  so many laws are passed that  turn out to be not good for people or for our society.  New laws often don’t help us until it’s too late.     Our lawmaker politicians are listening to someone else,  not to their constituents in many cases.

How did we let that happen?      How did we come to this?

bad arch 6

In addition,  ,  our Church mirrors the world’s culture now, it does things in the same ways,  it seems to have the same goals,   and most disheartening,  Church leaders cannot really be trusted.    How did it happen that Church hierarchy is reported to be so far from simple truths and  commonsense, faithful people?

bad arch 7

A word that came to my mind as I finally     p  u  l  l  e  d    the class back into the lessons we were supposed to be discussing;    that word was “ugly.”      Our society is not only unworkable and uncomfortable (and unsafe),  it’s just plain ugly.

As you can see, I’ve been browsing the pages of Architectural Digest again,  where beauty,  order,  grace, and common sense  is no longer presented.      I remember hearing a lecture about how the Bauhaus school of architecture was thought to be such a good (political)  idea,   “egalitarian” and all,   but all it gave us were homes and businesses, devoid of ornamentation looking like prison buildings,  with a sameness that kills the human spirit.

apt

Bauhaus style apartment buildings

No wonder such dreary inhuman architecture  was used to name a graceless, ugly group of human music noise that erupted in pointless protest.

bau music

Bauhaus paved the way  for more insane architectural  innovations,   one of them close to home where I grew up:

frank

We used to drive around Chicago area suburbs looking for these “homes.”    I think FLW built them with a little bit of grace,  but there is something . . .  lacking.

frank another

Still doesn’t look like a “home.”

What all these innovative designs have in common is that they are leaving traditional ideas of beauty and order that have developed naturally and organically through the centuries – because traditional ideas have served people well on many levels.      There is actually wisdom to be found in tradition.

There is nothing but Revolution to be found in . . .  revolutionary ideas, and Revolution cuts us off from the sanity and hard-earned lessons of those who lived before us.

The best comment on this Brave New World I have ever heard came in  one word:

bad braod 3 teeth

This building sits amidst the beautiful classic architecture of our local Big Ten campus.  It’s startling.  It doesn’t fit.   It’s a traffic hazard  for cars going by.   It’s rather ugly. It looks like a giant metallic shark ready to devour.

That one word   fits this exhibit the most because it is an understatement   capable of many meanings.  It was uttered by my little grandson when he was four years old, sitting in the back seat of our car,  chattering away non-stop —  until there was a sudden  silence.

Before we could ask what’s the matter , we heard his little voice say:  “Well,  that was interesting.”

Interesting.  Isn’t there a Chinese curse that says:  “May you live in interesting times”?

IT DIDN’T GO SO WELL BEFORE

March 25, 2018

(From the last posting):   Isaiah 3:4 –  “And I will give children to be their princes.”

These words were  meant to be a warning to Israel, who had left the teachings of Moses;  and by analogy  it’s meant to be a warning to any society who turns its back on God.   That’s just the way it works.

“Young adults”  who are easily stroked and flattered are enlisted to put forth a “new agenda” for old, failed revolutionary marxist hopes even as the adults become weak,  immoral, confused, and degenerate.

headlines

Two headlines in the news today, one secular marxist,  the other religious marxist:

First is this  (paraphrased):   “The Barack-Hussein person in a speech in Japan ponders a million Young Barack Obamas.”     This is not new.  When this person was put in the office of our presidency  ten years ago, he announced the creation of a Million Man Force of young people to  implement his marxist agenda.   He boasted that it will be larger than and better funded than the American military.

Reminiscent of  . . .   dare I say it?  (  ———‘s  Youth.)

Second,  on the religious side,  the short-sighted arrogance of “young people” are being pumped up  and encouraged to defy any adults who get in their way.   Really!   The headlines read:    “Pope to young people:  Do Not Let Your Elders Silence Your Voices!”

arm yuoth fest

A “catholic”  youth festival –  don’t be silenced!

Yeah.   Do not let the older generation get in the way of your marxist-infused agenda.

Reminiscent of  . . .   dare I say it?  ( —–‘s Youth, who  were encouraged to defy their elders and spy on their parents.)

Do we dare contemplate the consequences of a manipulated Youth Movement?

Think:  Arm Bands.  As shocking as it seems,  I’ve been watching increasing numbers of  photos  showing armbands and fierce nazi scowls on these “youth.”

ARM BAND for Change

“Armbands for change”

There were instructions about how to construct an Arm Band –  on this photo someone has written over the picture to remind us of the danger of politicized  Youth Movements.

ARM bands didn't ened well

Of course, one of the first tasks of  all totalitarian societies is  Gun Confiscation.   The children recruited for this current Youth Movement could not explain to the cameras recently what kinds of restrictions,  what kinds of guns,  or even identify any of the different guns,   but they are given scripts and mottoes and a pulpit in front of cameras.

There were directions on what to say to the press:

ScriptedGunControlEverytown

Reminiscent of . .  .  dare I say it?    . .  .  of the Hitler Youth who were propagandized in German schools and encouraged to believe they were In Power.    As Walt Disney told us a few decades ago when this revolution was just beginning:  “YOU are the LEADERS of the TWENTY-FIRST CENTURY !!!!!!!”     (Mickey Mouse Club  echoes in my ears.)

But it took a couple generations to get us to where a very dangerous Youth Movement could actually arise.

“A million Young Barack Obamas” ??      Youth of the World told to not listen to the older generation??       Adult teachers and celebrities and politicians driving and financing political youth rallies — and punishing those students who do not want to participate?

There were “instructions” and there were “directions” and there is a Role Model:

Arm nazi salute hogg

Will there be gray shirts instead of brown shirts?

Revolutions build slowly, they wind up, and then without warning burst onto the stage of history.   They are never safe and mild.    Might makes right in a revolution and there are always those who want  to grab power away from a civilized society.

A godless culture cannot go on forever, it falls in many ways,  and  one of the  signs that a culture is failing is that the adults watch in perplexity as “young people”  are used to push forward a “new agenda”   by power-grabbers.

(God help us.    This is a supernatural issue.)

PAYING FOR YOUR OWN SHRINKAGE

March 22, 2018

As  always, one of my favorite forms of humor is irony — but this ironic issue is decidedly not funny.

In this present-day world culture  we choose and we pay for many self-destructive activities.  (Is that a form of insanity – to disregard self-preservation?)

It was all over the news this week that Toys R Us has declared bankruptcy, after several years of bad economic decisions,   and they will be closing their stores in the US.

toys-r-us-closing-1

All their  store locations will be empty, and possibly, according to the latest,  taken up and occupied by Amazon.  No surprise there.

After all the business and financial analysis they put out for us,  a Toys R Us spokesman finally said the reason they are not taking in as much revenue as they would need to stay open is that they are losing customers.

Who are these customers?   Babies!   Small children!   Young schoolchildren!   (And the grandmas who shop for them!)

Why fewer babies and children?   Guess you can read it yourself:

The decrease of birthrates in countries where we operate could negatively affect our business. Most of our end-customers are newborns and children and, as a result, our revenue are dependent on the birthrates in countries where we operate. In recent years, many countries’ birthrates have dropped or stagnated as their population ages, and education and income levels increase. A continued and significant decline in the number of newborns and children in these countries could have a material adverse effect on our operating results.

Makes some sort of logical sense.

But then there’s this statement  (Note the trickery when they got caught):

Toys R Us formerly donated to Planned Parenthood, which commits more abortions than any other organization in the country. They were thus contributing to killing off their future customers, which means a loss of revenue in addition to life. In 2010, Life Decisions International removed  Toys R Us from a boycott list for supporting Planned Parenthood. However, according to a February 2017 entry from 2ndvote, Toys R Us matches donations to New York City and Minnesota chapters of Susan G. Komen, which gives grants to Planned Parenthood.

Oh, our customers don’t like our support for Planned Parenthood?  Okay.  We’ll “stop,”  And then we see they didn’t,  not really.

The International and Global Forces promoting human depopulation are just too strong.  Maybe it’s time to talk about my trip to the Georgia Guidestones, again.   They’re real;  but no  one dares talk about the reality of their message.

ASKING WHY

March 21, 2018

(A rambling, sprawling, catch-up visit with you all):

I sleep with my radio on, of course.

radio cartoon

I woke up today  to a radio news report that got me asking “Why?”    But first . . .

I always feel as though I have to “explain” myself when I’m  away from The Spruce Tunnel  for several days.   I don’t, I know.   But I’m making kind of a record — so I  will.

I wrote this SIX days ago!     (Quote:  me)  –

Well, another glitch, another breakdown!     I missed seeing today’s news because my computer monitor had begun strobing out at me in flashes and flutters, and then a few nights ago it blossomed into a lovely shade of light pink in its lower quadrant.

So, FYI,  if you use a monitor,   this is not a good sign, but a pretty good warning of its soon demise.    And today my monitor went BLACK.        (It was weird to have a black screen where I usually see lively colors and videos — and work to do — but it’s okay,  there is  a new monitor on its way, and I transferred an old, old monitor to this  somewhat newer main computer.)

Then Hubbie’s big red van broke down –  and though it’s old,  I’m  happy to maintain it for him now that he’s gone.    The parts didn’t come in  when the shop requested it, so I spent more than a week “in suspension,” so to speak,  waiting to have my household made whole again.

Both problems are taken care of as of last night –

monitor

This was not at all enough to keep me out of The Spruce Tunnel.    Instead it was  a series of “difficult”  news coming from my friends and family which affected me deeply and came coincidentally all within a two-week period.    No details here because none of my “friends and family”  should feel as though I can’t bear their . . .  troubles –  but the categories are:   a terminal illness;   a shocking “psychological lapse”;    a mortal danger;    a serious moral “lapse,”  which I suppose is actual “mortal” too, spiritually speaking;  news from someone which resurrected some deep conflicts;   oh . . .  some other things, and all during this time my “entertainment”  was watching all the seasons of a popular gut-wrenching dramatic (soap-opera) series offered by PBS ….

The reason for the umpteen hours of entertainment is this:

knitted more 370

After I got the pattern established I needed something easy to keep my eyes and attention on why I made progress on my sweater.    Usually I can read and study while I knit,  but not with this pattern!   And so I  overlayed all the recent real-life troubles with the near-to-life troubles of  a dying social system,  a dying moral world,   and the constant though natural  departures of   people from one another:

highclear

Highclere Castle

   —  the home of the present-day Lord Carnarvon,  whose ancestor was an enthusiastic Egyptologist who financed and took part in many expeditions to Egypt,   thus opening up the knowledge of ancient Egypt with all its wonders and glory to the rest of the world,  including the expedition that discovered  King Tut’s tomb.

This castle was the scene of the Jeeves and Wooster series, as well as the Downton Abbey series, which, as I’ve alluded to,  I saw for the second time these past days.  I was not enthusiastic the first time through, and I missed so much;  I “got it”  this time . . .

Taking too long to get to my radio news?    Well, the tragic collapse of a moral and well-ordered society  (along with its excesses) should acutely inform our emotions as well as our intellect, because an emotion is energy –  and it fuels motivation . . . .

(From the Good Teacher in The Spruce Tunnel:   acknowledge your emotions,  feel them;  you need not give in to them or even show them to others, and never inflict them on others;  but use their energy to  help come to terms with whatever difficulty,  real or imagined,  caused them.    Emotions can feed your very useful imagination, and you and your world can be a better place . . .  Intellect,  emotions,  imaginations are some of the necessary tools given to us by our Creator.)

So filled with all the “energy” of the past two weeks from all the sources,  I heard that the Austin, Texas,  “b.”  (perpetrator of the random explosions that put such fear into the population down there),  was tracked down, shot at, and exploded himself in his car at a motel . . .

Now that he’s dead,  investigators are going to work hard to find his motivation.  Here’s where I asked “Why?”

So we can understand him – and people like him?      So that . . .    “why?” – what will we do, what will we change?   Actually change?

So we can understand “society”  that made him do it?    “Why”   “What do we, as a society, have the will to change?     Because it takes a very strong collective will to get any changes done.

So we can  look for more laws to change or add to our nation?    (Better watch out whose strong “will” is behind change-making.)

So we can make new regulations against bullying victims into criminals?   Bullying is only a symptom of lawlessness  in our society and in our schools.

So we can educate our children better?       I was a teacher in this new education system when we made the changes that we were told were for the better.   My strong opinion on what changes should be made is this:

bulldozing the schools

There is no fixing of a system of education which abuses our children in their growth and development.     We must start again.

When we do find out what may have motivated this criminal activity in Texas,   then what?

The bewilderment and consequent lack of action should point to a cause.  Maybe we’d all have to take a second look,  “watch a second season,”  about our culture.

I think it’s not that we cling to  “our bibles and our guns”  as the Barack Hussein person stated it when he was frustrated that we didn’t go along with all his Progressive ideas.  It’s rather that we are comfortable, we don’t want “discomfort,”  and so we cling to the Status Quo.

Go ahead and find out that Texas man’s motivation.      That what we do – in this present culture.   We give ourselves the illusion of “doing something.”

But as far as the state of our culture goes,   (our society, our education, our politics),   when a train derails,  we must go back to the point of derailment, in order to find our way forward.

train de

Cultural destruction.

There is much to bear in this “modern”  world.

TODAY – I’M NOT A WOMAN

March 8, 2018

.

Because of the latest ad campaign from Madison Avenue on  this beautiful island  —

HATTAN

—  I am reminded that I choose today to NOT be a “woman”!

At least not this kind!

wwww

I’m not celebrating the Leftist, Global Socialist, Agenda-Driven Exclusive International Women’s Day.

And neither are these women:

WW

And neither are the 22 MILLION women who were chopped to pieces,  swirled around by a vacuum extractor until they died,   or painfully burned to death by a strong saline solution  — before they got a chance to get out of the womb.  (Let’s deal in facts.) —

But I do respectfully remind the international women to remember these,  their sisters.

They, and I, are not like you.

Some of us have a higher calling –  our homes!

SABBATH REFLECTIONS – KOWTOWING: LL BEAN AND NIGERIA

February 18, 2018

Reflections –  reflections related to the origins of this past week’s tragedy in Florida – (owtowing).

Any  way you slice and dice it,  it is a grave matter to not attend church on a Sunday.

10 com

But – it’s easy!    When we Americans go to church,  we can be 98% sure that we won’t be massacred while in church.   We can be 95% sure we won’t be accosted by angry demonstrators as we leave our churches.     (We can be 10% sure that we won’t hear ridicule and insults heaped upon us by the current “culture” around us.)

Not so in other areas of the world –  which are included in the word “universal” –  the name given to our church way back at the end of the first century.    (Greek word for universal =  “Catholic.”)    All humans are included, equally, and warmly.

Not so elsewhere.    Let’s start a tour   with India  –

Christianis in India

Christians are not protected in India.  They are burnt, beaten, killed;  their houses and churches are destroyed . . . (by Mos l ems and by “peace”-loving Ghandi-type Hindus) .

Further East:

Chinese Requires Church

And few are “sanctioned” —

Chinese Church BEING Wrecked

That photo shows the new policy towards churches in China, many buildings are currently being razed.

Somewhat west of India

And south of India  —

nigerian church attacked

Here is a still-shot from a video I was going to post last Sunday –  because every Sunday there is news of yet more attacks on Christians as they worship, somewhere in the world, and I want to make these poor victims known to the world.  We want to  ‘aid”  victims, don’t we?

Maybe only prayer  is possible ,  as this Nigerian man knows —

Nigerian in church

And this Nigerian woman —

nigerian woman

It is the norm for a human to want to worship God.   It is normal to pay homage to one’s Creator, absent generations-long indoctrination to the contrary.    It is normal among humans to seek Truth.

In European-derived nations, indoctrination seems to be the weapon of choice.  However, in Africa last Sunday,  and in other parts of the world,  the machete seems to be a common weapon of choice.

nigerian machete

This is a still-shot from a video shown a few days ago of armed men running through Christian villages and farms,  destroying livestock,  buildings,  and sometimes human lives.

Things seem to be getting worse for Christians in this world in this present time.  (It’s not a surprise that it will happen;  it’s just a surprise that it actually is happening, in front of our eyes.)   What will be done about violence against Christians?

Nothing, really.   The governments will do nothing effective.  “Missionary groups” with money from wealthier nations will not make it safer for Christians.   Public opinion in America will continue to be oblivious.

And this is where the LL Bean company comes in.     LL Bean is a good family owned company that has been selling quality clothes and things for 91 years.   I love their styles!  If I were a man,  I would get my entire wardrobe from them!

ll bean slippers

Here is a pair of slippers that I gave to my daughter.   They didn’t fit,  so we exchanged them with LL Bean’s generous and easy exchange policy,  (I didn’t get her the cat;  I had  gotten her a bear, one half on each slipper.   They didn’t have a bear in her size, so I wanted to get her a moose –  they live in the High Sierras, after all –  but she  chose instead a  whimsical goofy-looking frog.   It’s cute.)

This morning on the radio, on some financial advice program that happened to be on when I woke up,  I heard them say that LL Bean is now changing their 91-year old exchange policy;  and it’s basically, bottom line, due to the highly immoral conditions pervasive in our society.   You can still exchange things, but only for one year after purchase, and with proof of purchase,  and with a stated reason.  Still generous,  but no longer trusting and generous.

Can’t be, any longer.   Everywhere,  from highest to lowest activities,  we are being compliant to Falling Values.      We kowtow.

Something as major as going to church,  something  as  trivial as buying clothes from a 91 year old family owned business,   something as common as going to school and expecting to be safe,  and everywhere  in between,  Christian values which a society could count on are being . . .  well, devalued.

Let’s look at the good:

Nothing is so  joyous as an African man at prayer!   Nothing is so philosophically calm and certain as an Indian at worship.   Nothing is so motivated as a Western man coming out of Mass.

And nothing is so sweet as a Chinese man  adoring Emmanuel,  God With Us,    God Who Became Human for us.

And that brings me to KOWTOW   –

a word UNIVERSAL in its own meaning.

WE GAVE “THEM” OUR CHILDREN

February 18, 2018

A small sad  Rant tonight:

If you follow one avenue of analysis,  you will find the motto:  “Get the children first.” Never mind the parents,  get the children – and you will have your revolution.

__________________________________________

Do you ever go around the Internet and choose a little city at random and read their local news?   If you have time,  it can reveal some interesting (national) trends.

In our little area, here in the Far North, in the middle of Fly-Over country,   in a nearby small town,   a day after the school shooting in Florida,  the school of this small town was closed down for two days –  after receiving a “shooting” threat.

If you didn’t make it “here” to our local news – no reason you should have –  maybe you saw this in the national news, another “interesting” trend:

GET A GRIP

It was slipped under the door of the principal’s office in a school near Parkland, Florida, this past week.

I can’t show the rest of the note – there’s so much obscene and foul language in it.

It was written by an eleven year old girl – who was apparently not protected from the hysterical and actually hateful news reporting of this past week.   And she was apparently not parented this week.   What she heard was not put into any  perspective proper to an eleven year old girl.

Her mind is at the mercy of the entertainment-news media and of the Revolutionary Radical-Leftist influences promoted by our government (public)  schools.     Her mind and her emotions.    In a culture which has lost its capacity to rear its young, we seem to think children can raise themselves, according to any current trends.

A few hundred years ago a major prophecy was given to the Church – concerning not just the future, but specifically the 20th century, and the “interesting” trends that will begin in that most dark of all human centuries.   One of the predictions was that the children of that century will be almost totally corrupted.

There will be no more innocence among children.

When this prophecy was discovered in the 1800s,   more than a couple hundred years after it was written,  that statement alone was too startling to even believe.   Children have always been protected,  parented,   taught how to become human beings, trained in the highest values of civilization.  It was inconceivable that a whole century would somehow abandon their children to the point that generations of children could become so degraded.

Marx,  Lenin,  Stalin,  “Rules for Radicals,”  Communist writings —  socialist educators like Dr. John Dewey (who almost single-handedly corrupted American schools –  I witnessed this transformation when I taught in public schools) — all these  say the same thing:  “Give me the children . . .”

I had intended to write about the Olympics tonight.

Like many Americans, I have a long history of watching the Olympics,  cheering for our own athletes,   being inspired by their skill and dedication.    When I was a teenager,  I watched the winter Olympics and then went out and built my own ski jump in the surrounding forest.  After school each day I practiced on that ski jump –  not sure I’d have the courage to jump that far and that high today,  but it gave me a tiny taste of the life of those Olympic athletes.     Striving to be better;  striving for excellence.

I cannot write about the Olympics this year.   (“Good parenting”  taught me “If you can’t say something nice about someone, don’t say anything at all.”     Hah!)

Each night, and several times each night,  deviant behavior is showcased, promoted, and at the very least spoken of casually.

The picture of the American team members that the entertainment-news media showed to us was beyond youthful exuberance and joy.  This year’s American athletes were photographed being shamefully immature, juvenile,  arrogant, and appeared to feel they were entitled to all the medals  which were sure to come to them (and which most didn’t get).    They were therefore  like children:   vulnerable  to adulation and willingly complicit in promoting anti-American sentiments, anti-American values,  anti-family behavior.

(Did you hear the athletes of any other nation bad-mouthing their own nations or presidents or vice-presidents?   Did any other country’s announcers continually point out deviant behavior of their athletes?  )

So.    Yes, Mom.  Yes, Grandma:    I won’t say anything at all about individual athletes.   I’ll  just have more free time now away from the television.

But I feel rather sad for the children of our country.

We gave them away . . . .

(For those of you trained in marxist thinking where there are no absolutes –  this is not an “absolute”  100% statement.  Of course it isn’t.    But it takes only one eleven year old girl without moral training to make life very unpleasant for our society.)

.

Reclaiming America?     Restoring American values?

There can be push-back.    Maybe there could be enough push-back.

But there won’t be.   I’ll write about that in the next post.

(Super talkative, unrestrained-in-the-morning  thoughts.  Just skip down to the two quote boxes to get the gist.)

It’s a matter of politics to try to keep a civil society stable, beneficial, correcting wrongs, making improvements; protecting against those movements which ultimately tear at families and break down a civil society. I do respect people who find politics their calling for these reasons.

Many work towards, those ends; but increasingly more have an agenda that works against those good ends.  Senator Rand Paul, for instance who is recovering today from five broken ribs because because many people in this country care not about their country’s good, but about their own agenda, country be damned; and that makes them strident, arrogant, and sometimes violent.    I don’t know about each of Senator Paul’s ideas, but I know his is a life dedicated to improving our nation.

if I am ever asked whether I am “Right” or “Left” or “Liberal” or “Conservative,”   I would probably groan (inaudibly) and frown, and look all thoughtful; and after a moment maybe my reply would be a disappointed:    “Ohhhh,  do you really want to go back to the French Revolution? Do you really want to use those archaic categories? They have become a cheap shot; lazy thinking obscuring today’s realities.”

fr revSitting on the left and sitting on the right

Leftistl/Democrat?   Right/Republican?  These have no meaning now after the  dialectic process has translated those two terms into: Socialist (Democrat) on one side  and Socialist Lite (Republican) on the other, both political parties drawing people into worldwide Global Socialism/Communism which, whatever label you give it, simply means a totalitarian control of the whole world.

(See Nimrod)  (Or see Napoleon, who thought he could do it.)     (Or see Hitler, who was sure he could do it.) .

Maybe you’d want to more accurately ask if I am a Gramsci-ite Progressive or if I am  an Independent political thinker:   pragmatic and people-oriented, rather than State-oriented. Our American Constitution gave us a shot at this: independent and uniquely created individual people, free to be creative and hard-working in the pursuit of their own choices in this world and free to walk humbly before God in preparation for their journey to the next world.

My favorite song? “Don’t Fence Me In.”

Nearly all Young People have never even read the book 1984, nor studied it to understand the warnings therein.     Not that their Leftist schools and universities would want these young people to ever, EVER understand books like 1984 and Homage to Catalonia     That would be so  . . .  so  . . .   un-Orwellian.    Thinking about Orwell’s writing would require independent thinking and the “hard work”  of intellectual analysis.

I was reading a foreign newspaper about the recent Texas church shooting, and I also read down into the Comment Box. Certain people could not understand why Americans could not just “all come together as a country and stop bickering about what we should do next. “Can’t we all get along?” (Teddy bears and flowers . . . and smile more.)   Why do we have to debate every issue?   Isn’t that . . . “divisive”?   Shouldn’t we all be united under one common( political) goal?

Then I saw this comment by some who calls himself “No One In  Particular,”  but he had a great comment on those who would restrict free and independent debate:

We are United by the Document on which this country was founded, the United States Constitution. We are fully allowed, and even encouraged, to disagree. (Amendment 1) We are also allowed, as in not prohibited from, ownership of firearms. (Amendment 2) This individual was not supposed to be able to purchase a firearm as he was disqualified from such by due process (Read: court of law). The fact that he made that purchase, through a Sporting Good Store, mind you, is an oversight that should not have happened. The squabbling that happens in the U.S. is 100% okay. If it truly bothers you, ignore it and never “pop across the pond,: sir.

There can be no debating if people are so willing to jump up and say you shouldn’t say what you want to say, that’s not “correct”!   In this politically-charged world it’s upsetting to the hypnotic dream state created by the Leftist agenda.   It’s not politically correct.

I hope we begin to look at the quality of public discourse in this whole nation. I hope those independent thinkers who have something of value to say will speak out against the suppression of public discourse. A poll recently proclaimed its findings: More than half the people in this country do not speak out because they are afraid of the consequences.

Poll: 71% of Americans Say Political Correctness Has Silenced Discussions Society Needs to Have, 58% Have Political Views They’re Afraid to Share  (from Cato . . org Oct. 31, 2017)

Yeah, well they killed Socrates for it too. I’d hoped we are beyond that.
“Do not go gentle into that good . . .” etc. etc.

TOWN&GOWN, SWORDS, AND ANTIFA

November 3, 2017

(Random thoughts from The Spruce Tunnel)

Walking through a parking lot this afternoon,  this caught my eye:

Bummper Sticker

Bumper Sticker “art” —

The bumper sticker reminded me that I live in a university town.  Well, I live out here where the professors live,  the students mostly live in the town contiguous with us, but we see a lot of them in our stores.

So . . .  cute bumper sticker, “eh” ?      E   A  R  T    H

Take out the art, you take out the beauty.  Or maybe the other way around – take out the beauty and there is no real art.     Seeing beauty is an art,  and “poetics”  is what we humans try to do to capture the beauty,  hold it still before our eyes.

Random thoughts and pathways:

But it made me think of all the artists and artist-wannabees around here:   the artistes.  Universities attract them.    Universities and university people live right in the middle of an ordinary town.    Sometimes the two populations don’t understand each other –  with amusing or newsworthy consequences.   This university town is known for throwing couches out  windows and setting them on fire in the streets below — usually when we win a big football game.  Or when we lose.

couch

The police come,  but not until several students have had the opportunity to jump through the fire . . . .   Some people just don’t get it.

Town and Gown

But there has always been clashes and sometimes violence between the university population and the town population.   In the Middle Ages,  sometimes groups of students took their swords to school to fight with other groups of students or with groups of townspeople.     Imagine caring that much about what a professor teaches you that you want to defend the issue or destroy the issue with your sword!

(Not an easy thing to do!   Do you know how heavy a real sword is?   No women students in the 13th century at a public university.   They couldn’t wield a sword anyway.)

Twenty Towns in America  —

Riots and clashes planned for Saturday, November 4, in twenty towns and cities across America have nothing to do with intellectual issues, and not even with the intellect itself.    The International Communist-backed movement called Antifa will try to incite riots this  weekend.   It’s what they do.    It’s what they’re paid to do.   This is the weekend in 1917 that the Leftist Bolsheviks took over the major cities of Russia in a coordinated attack.   Turned Russia into the Soviet Union. Eventually 65,000,000 dead.

I don’t think that will happen this weekend, 2017.    The Antifa people are armed with slogans but not with strong intellects that could drive them through to the “end”  that they are told to shout about.

It will be interesting to see what today’s feeble-minded revolutionary-wannabees will accomplish.

Much, eventually, if there is no pushback.     But not tomorrow.

HOAX WEEK: HOAXING TO DIVIDE

October 26, 2017

Well, the important posting is the last post,  but this goes along with it in a more minor and particular way.

This man:

A White Supremacist

. . .  about a hundred miles from  me . . .

. . .  on a liberal (Leftist) university campus . . .

. . . motivated by the Marxist desire to divide our country . . .

. . .  scared the heck out of liberal snowflake students . . .

. . . by . . .

. . .  making graffiti  on various campus buildings  . . .   in large letters:

k

Only in large black letters, I think.

(His is one of many such incidents recently all over America.)

For those of you who don’t know, my foreign readers perhaps,  the organization represented by these letters was begun by American Democrats to intimidate both Catholics and what we today call Black people.        They used to be a somewhat large and murderous influence in a few areas of our country.

One very famous senator, Senator Byrd (a Democrat),  was the “grand wizard” or whatever of this organization.   Mrs.  Bill Clinton  praises him and claims him as her mentor  (in a video you can still see).

Ironically,  this organization has now taken on Mythic Proportions as the Democrats themselves call their opponents by this name  even as membership in this almost nonentity is vanishingly small.

All it takes is a television camera to make it seem influential.

And a menace . . .

. . .  to young, uneducated college students . . .

. . . who are the Useful Idiots doing the legwork of dividing our nation.

Real education is fun and interesting – and useful.
