BRIEFLY – COMMUTATIVE JUSTICE

September 1, 2018

Here’s how it works:

Justice =  Giving to the other what is his due.*

When the issue of justice is between people, person to person,  it’s called  commutative justice (and not distributive justice or legal justice).    Although you would think setting up a mandated social welfare state, as in Socialism,   would come under distributive justice because you seem to be “distributing” wealth,  it does not.   The State has stepped into and stepped on the rights of individual people and crossed the boundary into commutative justice.

The right to own property,  including  the right to manage and make decisions about one’s own property,  the right to pursue one’s own happiness (fulfillment), these are some of the inalienable rights of human beings.

The State cannot  alienate these rights from the individual (American) citizen.

Hubbie worked hard for a living.   The State has no right to step in and take more than necessary (under distributive justice),  just for the purpose of creating a generations-long dependent class of takers of his wages and the wages of others.      This is an unsustainable economic system because it is fundamentally unjust..

Bottom line:  Society falls without justice.

Socialism cannot be dissolved without justice.

Our children need to know the various concepts of justice so that they can think clearly and make good decisions about governing themselves and others.   We don’t teach the concept of justice anymore to our children.      We haven’t for a long time.   Today’s teachers   probably no longer understand these concepts.   And the idea of educating children, faint though it is,  is not the purpose of all the Departments of Education in Western countries. **

It will take massive upheaval, massive resistance,  massive re-ordering of our education goals in order to begin teaching our children the necessary things.

That’s why I put the currently entrenched Socialism in the category of Unsolvable.

READING UP A TREE, SCOUTING, & SOCIAL ENGINEERING

October 12, 2017

Remember:     “Implementation follows Victory.”

________________________________________

I had an intense and vivid memory this morning as I was warming up my breakfast, such as it was:

Breakfast

In my mind, I was back on the Illinois prairie,  about eleven years old,   pretty much what they called a “tomboy”  — and reading a book,  up a tree.

It was a magnificent tree!

big tree

Something  like that, only more branches..   On those hot summer days I was usually up in one of the higher branches that became a big chaise lounge for me.    Sometimes I didn’t even read,  just put my book down and absorbed the feel of nature,  the steady sounds of the bugs and the bees and the locusts.    Butterflies came sometimes if I weren’t too high.

gnarly limbs

Occasionally my friends came too, when their mothers released them from their chores.  My mother worked in the city;  I was an “only” child,  so I was free all day.  Free as a bird!   (As long as I didn’t break any rules,  I could do whatever I wanted to do.  Such freedom!)

Maybe because I was alone a lot I always wanted to join the Girl Scouts*.

GS Troop

So, when I woke up this morning,  today the radio was still on from the night before , and I heard about “Scouting.”      The poor Boy Scouts who seem to have, in the past few years, lost their way as a group to teach boys how to grow into Christian manhood, (which was their original purpose),  have announced that they are going to start accepting girls into their boys’ club.

(“Implementation follows victory.”)

Now, it’s clear that the idea of Christian manhood as a goal for our American boys is an idea that is mocked and ridiculed.     Any teenage boy want to grow up to be a good Christian gentleman?   He would be publicly disparaged and socially isolated –  and accused of all the  common Marxist “sins.”

Cultural Marxism poster 150I’m sure most everyone has noticed, by now, that the Extreme Leftists,  the socialists,  whatever you want to call them,  have completed their Marxist Cultural Revolution in American Society — as it is presented to us by the entertainment-news media.

They haven ‘t won the hearts and minds (and commonsense) of the American people, but there seems to be nowhere that the Cultural Marxists have not infiltrated and taken control.

So the controversy engendered by this latest Scouting announcement is a clear one.  Yes or No.   Black or White.   Boy or Girl.

(“Implementation follows victory.”)

Another Yes or No news item this morning:  a nearby school district is debating whether to have transgendered bathroom in the whole school district. Mostly boys entering girls bathroom and locker rooms and showers.  They are implementing the false idea of “gender neutrality.”
The principles of Marxist social engineering has claimed the word “gender,”  a grammatical term,  not a scientific term,  for itself and uses “gender”  to hammer at human reality.    Those who don’t know the difference between “sex” and “gender”  are confused — and easily persuaded because they don’t want to be accused of being . . .   not nice.   Or attracting attention.   Or getting in trouble.  Or something.

Those involved in implementation the social changes that are being engineered will win, I think.   The (few) voices from the Left are mean and strident, domineering and bullying.

Divide and conquer.    Make those who disagree with you seem   unreasonable and weak in their protestations.      Then take away their power —

Another news item this morning illustrating the loss of power and control for ordinary American citizens:      One of our state senators has announced he’s going to run for governor at the next election.   Why?  Because he disagrees with the policies of the Leftist, Progressive leaders of his party, who have just shut him down:  in the senate that means he was taken off of all his committees and now has a very weak and unheard voice in future debates.   The bad thing is,  the people who elected this man agree with him and sent him to our state legislature in order to implement these ideas.

But they have no victory – so they can have no implementation.  No voice.

It’s what politics has become.   “Agree with me or you don’t get a voice.”     It’s called the Swamp.   And it may be going on in your state legislature too.

Slowly but very surely our nation has been steered to the Far Left in its public manifestations.    Politics,  economics,  the astounding size of the  flow of money,  all our information and entertainment,  unprosecuted lawless behavior,  criminal enterprises,  all  those who permit our participation in social media,  and everything that allows our private choices and conduct — all has been effectively steered to the Far Left.

(“Implementation follows victory.”)

But, again,  the hearts and minds of most ordinary citizens are not there, (yet).    They are uncomfortable after daily doses of the media.   The implementation of total Leftist control is not quite complete.

They are walking around, almost dazed,  saying:  I don’t know any people like that!  I don’t know any  people who act like that!    I don’t know any people who think like that!   Not in real, everyday life.    Not among my friends and acquaintances.

Except for those few who are imitating what they see on the entertainment-news media, and who  don’t want to be thought of as . . .  what accusations do the Leftists use . . .     “Unkind.”   “Selfish.”   “Prejudiced.”   “Bigoted.”  “Homophobic.”    “Racist.”   “Sexist.”     The false accusations seem endless,  like fighting off buckshot from a shotgun aimed at you.

Reality and commonsense peppered by a thousand holes.

And it wears a person down.

(“Implementation follows victory.”)

Butterflies

Butterflies are free!   Humans should be too!

. *   I never could join the Brownies or the Girl Scouts.   In my very large school there were just not enough leaders available.   However, as an adult I became a Brownie and then, for a while, a Girl Scout leader.    I have a personal interest in the idea of Scouting –  and I’ve been watching its developments.

I know for a fact that the “excuses”  being presented for why girls should enter the Boy Scouts are just not true.   Just ask this “tomboy” Girl Scout leader!

NIGHTFALL

August 13, 2017

“And the evening and the morning were   (the next)  day . . .”    (Genesis)

Pond at Night

Looking out my back window tonight.      That’s the moon reflecting in my pond and three solar lights in my butterfly garden.

Darkness has descended.  Darkness makes a fitting division from one day to another.  Shut out all the issues of one day;  another (new) day will some.    And I am happy to leave behind today’s events in Virginia and the ensuing attempted attitude-adjustments by the Leftist-controlled media.     I’d like to form my own opinions,  thank you very much.

Maybe I’ll do pictures in this post to make up for no-pictures in the last.

The demonstrations in Charlottesville today and the Global-Socialist counter-demonstration that fought against them presented some big problems,  but the solutions do not lie in proclaiming our opinions one way or the other,  making quick pronouncements about “what is wrong,”   descending into name-calling in order to make a point.

I guess I stand with the president today when he said we need to analyze this,  investigate it, figure out what happened and why.   And all that before we can tell each other how to fix the social and civil problems we have.

Here’s my contribution:

As I taught public school for a few years,  I witnessed the deliberate destruction of American values by the new curriculum and the introduction of Socialism  into the minds of the children.     The children weren’t “victims”;  they were to be the new tools of Social Change.

They didn’t know that American values are opposed to Socialism’s values:

free_not_equal_equal_not_free

And they were not taught what could happen under some socialist governments:

Socialism Try Again

Yeah,  why not try it here?   How about some practice and a standing ovation?  —

Standing Ovation

Yeah, that’s the president of the un^it^ed  st^ates . . .  disguised as “Julius Caesar”   in a recent play,  much promoted by our hate-filled media.

Celebrities teach our children to have bad attitudes ready to display:

children's celebrities

“Children,”  or superannuated children.

We permit mindless slogans:

We Hate America

Slogans against America;  slogans against the president — any president:

dump trump people

The   young man who drove from Ohio to crash his car into the demonstrators today is said to have anti-Trump sentiments on his Facebook page — although that information has not reappeared anywhere.

car crash

Leftist counter-demonstrators today   “fought flags with fire”:

lighted spray

Disrespect embedded in —  what?  Am I supposed to say “only a small group of people”?    Okay –  then why no public disapproval  from public voices?    We ought to be publicly and loudly “disrespecting”  these people.

Because small groups of people can spread hatred and violence like a cancer spreads into the body,  into the body-politic.

We’d better watch what we teach our children —

Librarian for childrens hour

—  and we’d really better try to educate ourselves.

That’s a great project, because the rehabilitation of our society is done one person at a time.       Read!      And push back at the attitudes that lead to action that threaten our republic.    That’s like sitting outdoors in a comfortable chair in the sunlight –  and swatting away the wasps that might come your way.

Here are a couple suggestions:

Most Americans who are 50 years old and under have grown up in an atmosphere saturated with socialist principles alongside  American values.    They are incompatible.  One side will win out over the other.        One side is deliberately trying to win out over the other.

But this could be correctable.

I’m feeling  better already!    I love the night!       A new day comes next!

I. LISTENING TO DEATH

June 22, 2017

(Unfortunately, we can hear death speak all around us)

1917 – 2017:    “… or else, Russia will spread her errors throughout the world.”

Interviewer:   “Does that include America?”

Sister Lucia:  “Yes.”

______________________________________

Of course,  the  Russian people didn’t invent those errors;  the Russian-Soviet government just became expert at implementing them and spreading them into other nations —  by war and, as I said in the last post,  by the spread of economic and Cultural Marxism.

(For you old-timers,  “McCarthyism has come to mean a hysterical search for “communists”  under every bed, in every closet.  However,  when Soviet documents were released in the mid-90s,  it came to light that Senator McCarthy hadn’t been aware of even half of the communist infiltrators into our society.)

Economic and Cultural Marxism:   They bring ruin wherever they are spread.

Venezuela ran out of basic consumer goods,  and toilet paper, and food.   The news reports that the average Venezuelan has lost about twenty pounds;  the hard way.   Here they share handfuls from a garbage bag.

soc dumpster diving

The authorities in Venezuela ran out of something too:   tear gas.

Soc tear gasd needed

They’ve used it all up trying to keep their angry, starving citizens under control and they’ve put out a request to other countries for more.    Such a beautiful country – but now you have to get permission to cross the border to buy basic goods in the next country.

The United States is heading that way into bankruptcy too.    Illinois, for example, no longer has enough money to run the government – for real.   If you buy a lottery ticket in Chicago, chances are the authorities will not be able to pay you your winnings.     Detroit?    California?    I have so many examples to give you of one-party rule because once they get into office . . .  they find ways to stay.

This isn’t a catalog of woes caused by  communism- socialism –  liberalism – the Progressives – the Democrats –  whatever they want to be called.  It’s just that the same -ism mindset leads to poverty,  oppressive laws,  control of the individual,  loss of choices,  loss of freedom,  and tyranny — and to death.

The reason is awful – ly  simple.   The ideas that begat all these -isms  were begotten themselves by the ultimate Source of death.    Suppose you rejected the Author of Life,  the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.    Suppose you began listening to the voice of God’s Enemy and your writings create a World Undone.

desk a world undone by hellish vapors

The author of all these bright new ideas that begat all the -isms that plague us today is this man,  Karl Marx.

desk marx writing

And he knew what he was doing.   He was a tortured man, and he wrote about what forces inspired his theories:

The hellish vapors rise and fill the brain

Till I go mad and  my heart is utterly changed

“See this Sword,”

the Prince of Darkness  said to me.

For me he beats the time and gives the signs

Even more boldly I play the Dance of Death.

In this, his poem,  he’s telling us that he listened to the Prince of Darkness.    And further,  he tells us that he knows  the consequences:

 Thus heaven I’ve forfeited

I know it full well

My soul, once true to God,

Is chosen for Hell.

He played the Dance of Death and gave that Dance to the world.

Death follows.   Then Hell.

Can we turn away from Death and begin following the principles of Life?

No.  apparently not.    Not on our own power.

MEAT IN CUBA

December 3, 2016

(Or:  “Meat in Cuba.  Not.)

Cuba:

old-man-winds

I’m not the sentimental type.   I don’t really cry when I read a touching book.   But decades ago when Ernest Hemingway was fast becoming one of my favorite authors,  I needed some summer reading and chose  The Old Man and the Sea.    And I cried then,  not for anything specific that happened in the book,  but for the unrelenting, helpless tragedy of the whole  human situation.

old-man-sea

I read it the next summer;   same reaction.  Next summer;  same reaction.   It became a tradition,  something to mark the coming of summer.    I began to struggle through the book in German – that distracted me –  but I still “feel” that same awful, helpless feeling when I think of The Old Man and the Sea.

That wasn’t my first emotional experience with Cuba.

It was 1962, and I came home from school to see my big strong Marine Corps veteran dad sitting in front of the TV with a white face.     It was the Cuban Missile Crisis.    My dad’s exact words were:  “This could be it.”

cuba

He feared nuclear weapons, which were about 90 miles away from our coastline.   I didn’t.  I mean I grew up with the threat of being instantly incinerated without notice — it was common knowledge —  but to my dad it was a new threat.

Neither of us could do anything about the current threat that Cuba was presenting to us.

Later, as a young adult, I saw the Godfather movies.    Got a good firsthand glimpse of how Cuba had been changed by the Socialist Revolution.      Our family’s country-of-origin was strongly affected by the Socialist Revolution of Russia.  My Grandma would never wear the color red.

I read about Saint Anthony Mary Claret,  a wonderful, hard-working sainted man who was sent from Spain to Cuba and fell in love with the new land  and the people.

cuba-sp-clarets-name

He suffered physically and emotionally there  as he  brought the Gospel to the people, climbing up and down the beautiful green mountains of Cuba on foot – so he’d be sure to reach all of the Cuban people he could find.

cuba-hills

Beautiful hot, humid, mosquito-infested,  disease ridden mountains.     But lives were changed for the better as the people learned of Christ’s love.  Villages became workable and more prosperous.  Both crime and despair lessened.

cuba-mountains

I admire this man very much.  I admire his faith in the goodness of God and His power to change lives.   I admire his faithful persistence on behalf of the Cuban people and his love for them.     He was actually made the Bishop of Cuba and his memory is honored . . .   was honored.

More Cuba:   After I had children of my own and they had grown up safely  (whew!),  I watched as people fled from Communist Cuba.

cuba-fleeing-wave

Conditions were so bad that they tried anything and everything to get away.   Tires, tied together,  attached to sheets of plywood or canvas — and off they’d go into the ocean, towards America.

cuba-fleeing

They would drown,  often in sight of Castro’s gunboats –  who were ordered to NOT save them as they went under the waves.   Thousands of people died.

And then Elian  Gonzales fled into the ocean, with his family.   He was the only survivor.  He was picked up near our coast floating on some tires and was happily received by his own relatives here, who began to get him set up with his own room, new clothes,  good food,  a school . . .    They rejoiced at having him here with them.

And then the socialists  who had infiltrated some high offices in our government —  global socialists  ….

CUBAN BOY SEQUENCE

…. kidnapped him — our own government kidnapped him out of his own  new home.

And they sent him back to Cuba,  where after a short time he was taken from his  “biological father”  and placed into the group dormitories the socialists built for little children  where he went to school for a few hours and then picked sugar cane or tobacco for the rest of the day — to enrich  that socialist government under the dictatorship of Fidel Castro.

That was a pretty emotional experience with Cuba for me.

Fidel Castro.    A man of the people  luxury and privilege.     Lived in a $900,000,000   compound with more luxuries than I even knew existed and  had many other estates.   “One of his estates came replete with a rooftop bowling alley and indoor basketball court, as well as a coastal villa next to a private marina with pool, Jacuzzi, and sauna.”

Here’s another quotation from a book by his former bodyguard,    Juan Reinaldo Sanchez,          “With its orange, lemon, mandarin, grapefruit and banana trees, the estate resembled a veritable garden of Eden…”

Two wives,  several mistresses,  hundreds of “lovers” flown in,  and at least nine sons….

Oh, wait.

This is supposed to be about  MEAT IN CUBA.

The government owns it all.  The socialist government own the pastures, the herds, each dairy and beef cow,  and all the meat.     You line up at government offices,  prove who you are and how many people eat in your household,  and then you get  ration  vouchers    . . .   you do this  once every fifteen days!    And you don’t always get a meat ration.

You can have some milk twice a month — if you are pregnant, or if you are under seven years old.

Before socialism,  there were more cattle than people in Cuba.  The island people were prosperous,  hard-working,  and they fed themselves and exported food to others.    Now, another quote:  “Beef is elusive.”       ” All cows are property of the government and anyone caught cooking beef have been known to commit suicide rather than face incarceration. Some farmers would fake a death of a cow just so they could eat them legally. “

Meat in Cuba?

Ask Fidel.

Ask the hundreds,  thousands,  of United States journalists,  movie actors,   and college professors, who praise Fidel,    all  (nearly all)  of whom are radical,  leftist, socialists.

Ask Elian Gonzales how he’s eating today.

Pray for Cuba.

WAITING FOR HELLISH VAPORS

October 13, 2016

We begin that fateful 100th anniversary today.

This is an important anniversary.    I wanted this to be an interesting posting,  fun,   but  it’s got to be more.     Because you should see the expressions on the faces of all the people I know, and a lot more I don’t know.    There’s such a sense of something’s not right.   Something is about to happen .

It’s like the summer of 1939 in Europe.   The summer of 1941 in the United States.

bar-dissolve-er

Today is the 99th anniversary of October 13, 1917 –  the last of the serious visions at Fatima, Portugal.    Tomorrow, I suppose you can say,  we begin that 100th year which will end our “probation.”

There were 70,000   people there that dark rainy day on the fields outside the village of Fatima in 1917.   They wanted to see something “big”  happen,  because, before,   all people had seen  was three little children, once a month,  looking up at what they later described as a “beautiful lady.”     The oldest of the three seemed to talk to the Lady.   Then there were a few words about what the Lady had said – and that’s all.

This time they were promised something big.  Something that would prove to everyone that the previous visitations were indeed supernatural.

f-30000

Portugal was a skeptical country.   Mostly non-believers.   Scoffers of Catholicism – just like our politicians today.

The children were ready.    Then the visions came.   Images that matched the meditations on the Gospel in the Holy Rosary, because that’s what the rosary is:  three sets of Mysteries straight out of the Gospel;  and the children saw three successive visions,  each representative of one of the sets of Mysteries.

That was not the “proof.”    The proof came right after.   Lucia dos Santos,  the oldest,  pointed up at the sky and shouted “Look at the sun!”   Now, don’t get all scientific and skeptical — something did happen,  and it was something overwhelmingly terrifying,  and it DID seem as though the sun were  moving around,  spinning,   giving off weird colors,  and then making a startling plunge towards the  people.

SAMSUNG

70,000 people screamed,  ran,  fainted,  slipped and fell in the mud,  pleaded for mercy;  and approximately 30,000 more eyewitnesses from the surrounding area, in towns,  walking along other roads,  from apartment buildings,  from shops and stores. some more than 20 miles away saw it all too.   They didn’t know anything was going to occur, so this  “Milagro”  caught them by  surprise.

Rule out mass hysteria or mass hypnosis.   So many eyewitnesses,  and not all of them were in the same place.  And many were hard-hearted and determined atheists who were only out that day to watch a bunch of Catholics make fools of themselves.

But it happened.        The Miracle of the Sun.

Other miracles occurred simultaneously there in the field.   Some people were cured of diseases.  Some blind people found they could see.  Crutches were abandoned.   And everyone’s clothing was dry and clean!

(Actual photograph before the Miracle) –

fatima-pouring-rain

Today’s scientists have estimated that the amount of heat energy needed to dry the clothes of 70,000 rain-soaked, muddy people was so great that it would have melted the people,  annihilated them.

So something happened on October 13th, 1917,  and it’s not explainable by human knowledge.

There is much information about Fatima, all six occurrences,  on the Internet.     The facts don’t change, the eyewitness accounts don’t change.      The Lord God really wanted us to know something and to take it seriously – and to believe it.

So what do we need to know?   In 1917 we were told that God is very angry with us for our lack of religious faith,  for our immorality,   for our immodesty in dress,  for our “sexual sins,”   for the perversion and violence that we enjoy,  for blasphemies, profanities, and all the outrages against the majesty of God our Creator.

That was in 1917!    How bad could it have been then?   How much worse is it now?

We needed to know some things:  pray,  and pray more;   do penance in reparation for our sinning;  make daily sacrifices to God;  pray for others — and one big instruction:  the hierarchy of the Church, acting together at the same moment in time,  make a consecration of Russia to the Immaculate Heart.   ( – of Mary;   If you don’t have the right understanding of Mary,  you really won’t have an accurate understanding of Jesus.)

That’s it.   Pray, do penance,  make sacrifices,  stop sinning,  make this consecration.

But.  If.   Not. . . .

A worse war will come.   And if still not,  Russia will “spread her errors” around the world and whole nations will be annihilated . . .   worse wars . . .  carnage . . .

What are these “errors of Russia”?    Well, they are less and less of Russia and more and more of the Western World,  Europe and America.    But it was in Russia that these “errors” first most successfully were spread and permeated that whole nation.

These are the errors that came out of the Revolutionary men around the time of the French Revolution –  an error in thinking and logic that perverted the philosophies of the whole world – a spreading, contagious canker that destroyed goodness and truth wherever it went.

These errors,  diabolically inspired at the desk of Karl Marx and blossoming into a hundred choking miasmas of evil,  bring misery and poverty and  oppression and death  —   more than 100,000,000 people killed by their own governments.

I asked a couple years ago,  how could Karl Marx have done this?    What was he that his ideas could have started such a conflagration,  ready to be spread around the world,  first in Russia, then everywhere else?

Karl Marx had a”visitor”  in his study, where he conceived these Leftist, Marxist ideas.  He describes many places in his writings, and he was finally “moved”  to work out his mental torments in poetry.

I first wrote about them  here . . . the Sword of Hell.

I’ll copy just the  one stanza where he gives in to his diabolical visitor and knows just what choice he has made — fame,  and Hell:

 Thus heaven I’ve forfeited

I know it full well

My soul, once true to God,

Is chosen for Hell.

He made a deliberate choice.     He knew what he was choosing.   His political writings would become the punishing Sword for the whole world.

Something is coming.   Something big and terrible is coming.     Something is about to happen.

An election is about to happen.    We, too, could choose to wield  Marx’s Sword  against our own selves.

This election seems to be not about choosing one candidate or the other;  but rather we are choosing whether we want America to continue —  because “many nations will be annihilated.”             A just punishment  for  continued sin and defiance.

Something is about to happen,  I can see it on people’s faces.   Can it be stopped?

Why “100 years”?     The king of France in 1689 was told to do something; to  choose God for his nation rather than materialistic pleasures, riches, and political power.

He didn’t.  God waited 100 years and still no change.

In 1789  his successor,  King Louis XVI,  was beheaded,  and his France,  that France,  was gone.

A BRIEF WORD OF “WIT AND WISDOM”

April 16, 2016

“Wit”  is the fun side of Wisdom.

And I’ll be brief.

To repeat a photo I already showed you –

FLAG

–  young people,    taught to believe that marxism-socialism-Progressivism can actually work in the real world.

So here’s “the Word” :    “When a man stops believing in God,  he doesn’t believe in nothing.   He’ll believe in anything!”

Or,  as the modern saying has it:  “He’ll fall for anything.”

Remember that bumper sticker that says:  “Question Everything”  ?     Well, that includes everything everyone tells you.   Be discerning.

If you have even a suspicion that we have a Creator,   then you know that what follows is that He created things the way HE wanted things to be created.   Above and beyond all formal religions,   there is Natural Law.

Poor young people  . . . .

ADDENDUM TO THE PRINCE’S IRE

April 15, 2016

Here is a photographic P.S. to the last posting:

waiting to see a doctor

Waiting to get an appointment

The line wound down the block and around that building.      Look upon them with compassion . . . and a bit of fear.

Now,  I don’t believe for a minute that the Saudi prince of yesterday’s posting is truly “filled with ire.”   He has enough present problems of his own.   It is my own ire that I’m projecting, of course.

But nevertheless,  this is personal   I know that,   because of the generosity of this prince, the new state-of-the-art facilities at the Cleveland Clinic gave Hubbie two or three more years of life.    I know that.     You wouldn’t believe how precious those extra  years were.

I also know that when I myself need the services of the Cleveland Clinic,  I will be too sick to drive myself there, as I had driven Hubbie all those years,  but that isn’t what bothers me.    What bothers me is that those services which I would need won’t even be available  for me.

The photo above shows us a possible future for Americans.  It was taken a few months ago in China,  a nation of socialized medicine;  a  nation that is making great discoveries in the field of medicine;  a  nation that is creating technological  and pharmaceutical medical advances.

A nation  which is bankrupting itself because its government is trying to pay for all this – and it can’t.  No government can.

The people  in that line, so early in the morning,  are waiting for a chance to get a ticket for an  appointment to see a doctor at a major hospital in a big city.    The attached news article told about an “enterprising” young man who makes a  good living selling “tickets” for those appointments at a higher price.  We call it ticket-scalping.

He says if you are well off,  then you can afford to pay for  a ticket to be seen much sooner than all these people in line.    You can pay more for the privilege of having a doctor see you,   without weeks or months of waiting.

A socialist country.  A socialist-democratic society.   You need to be wealthy enough to get good and prompt  medical care — in every single country where it has been tried.

This is personal to me for another reason:    America will have its elections soon.   For more than forty years,  the “joys of socialism”  has been taught in American schools.   Without doubt,  marxist socialism has taken over schools and universities,  music,  movies,  and the entertainment-news media to such an extent that younger people do not even recognize the meaning of the political slogans they are taught to hurl.

sheep-forward

Follow the Slogans!

As one person put it in a lecture I heard:   “In Journalism schools,  socialism is so pervasive that it is invisible,  like the air we breathe.

“Huh?   Socialism?   Big Brother?    What’s all that?”

Young people at a recent    (American!)   political rally —

FLAG

He and his crowd don’t understand the consequences of what they’re promoting.

So that’s a problem.  Name-calling and catch-phrases are used to prevent free and open political dialogue.     And just try to oppose these young people!!    (And some not-so-young.   The  “aging hippies” called The Sixty-Eighters were Lenin’s “useful idiots”  in the ’60s cultural-socialist revolution around the Western World!)  Try to oppose them, try to assert another opinion  — and then duck!       All sorts of names and accusations will be thrown at you.

How did socialism win the cultural revolution?   Why is the American Constitution beside the point,  an annoying impediment to social change?

SAMSUNG

…And if  not,  “Russia” will spread her errors.”  (1917-2017)

The Western World was taught, instructed, enticed,  tricked, and intimidated into giving up all those values which created its own civilization.    It was a prolonged and powerful process which promised great things – and besides,  it was sold to us as Fun!  and Freedom!

Who wouldn’t want to get on board – and try out some of these formerly forbidden social behaviors!!    (Ever wonder why the Leftists in this country are so fixated on reproductive activities?)   The Marxists promised to “sell us the rope that we will hang ourselves with.”

If you don’t know who this man is,  we are already lost.

Khrushchev and shoe

We will bury you!!!

So, no need to discuss the consequences of such imposed social changes –  just follow the Fads, the Slogans,  the Name-Calling, the Celebrities,  and the erroneous, immature logic.  ‘Cause then you’ll be free!  And the government will give you free stuff!

Like socialized medicine.

Get ready to stand in lines.

WORD: Contradiction

March 9, 2016

As I wrote about in the last posting,  sometimes a contradiction occurs when there are two opposing facts which eventually forces us into a new realm of thought.

That poor Centurian Clavius, of that last post,  saw the Man dead on His cross – and also saw the Man later, alive and joyful and full of power.     Eventually,  the force of the contradiction caused Clavius’s thinking to “explode”  out into a new understanding of the joyous reality of everlasting life.

Think of the process as a tube of toothpaste:

SAMSUNG

Sort of like that.   It’s being squeezed from the right and squeezed from the left, until finally the lid pops off and the contents explode out into  a whole new  understanding of existence more wonderful and free!

But there is a different kind of “contradiction.”      It’s one that makes no sense,  never makes any sense,  and never results in a new understanding.   You are given one set of “facts”  and then you are given another set of “facts”  that are contradictory.

You have a mind, and you have the faculty of understanding and discernment.    Eventually you reject one set of “facts”  and come to a deeper understanding of the other set of facts.

Today,  we Americans have a couple of people who want the office of the presidency.  To get votes they are  promising free just-about-everything.   Now, we know that whatever a government pays for,  it gets more of.   When the government pays for certain activities, it get more of that activity — and less of the hard work that is required to get that payment.

But the government doesn’t “make”  any money in the sense that it adds value to the economy by its labors.  Instead it takes money – from people who do the labor.    It takes money from some people to give to the people it has promised free (or “affordable”)  things to.

It says “by the very fact that you exist,  you deserve”   whatever it is that is desired — and therefore you will be given what other people have.

Great?   So vote for ME!

Commonsense facts will tell you that more and more people will become takers and fewer and fewer people will be givers.

But vote for me and I will  keep on giving!

But there will be less and less money to give you.

Works for a while.

But it is a self-contradictory form of economy – and it has to be upheld by more and more taxes and more and more oppressive rules to sustain it, including increasing surveillance to make sure we’re following the rules.

Free college?  Sure,  but we’re going to have to tell you what you can study.  (Note the experiences of the old Soviet Socialist republics.)

Free health care?   Sure, but we’ll tell you what services are available;  what doctors you can use;   what care we can afford to give you;   and when you’re just out of luck.

Affordable, subsidized food and shelter?   Sure,  but we cannot afford to give you very much. . . .

Fact 1 – An American society built on freedom,  personal choices,  hard work,  earning our rewards, the right to pursue as much happiness and well-being as is possible;

Fact 2 –  Or an American society which receives stuff from a   government which promises it all, as long as you accept its  rules and enforcement,  limited choices, and the right of the government to withhold the necessities of life – eventually.

We can’t have both choices because they contradict each other.   This is the contradiction which forces us to choose, between one or the other.     It doesn’t lead us to a higher reality;  it is reality.

.

So . . .  this 2016 election — don’t worry.  Everywhere the system of taking people’s money to give it to other people has been tried,  it has failed and eventually ruined and weakened the country.

We’re too smart for that choice.    Right?

ELECTION 2016 – BURNING DOWN THE HOUSE

February 18, 2016

I think this just about shows my opinion of current American politics:

SAMSUNG

We’re pretty much burning down our own house.

I was actually there at that house, once a few years ago.  Hubbie and I visited South Carolina and we stopped in to see the lovely Boone Plantation.   Well cared for, gracious,  and beautiful.    Civil.     Of course, it wasn’t on fire  then- and it never was.   This is a scene from a Hollywood movie that was filmed at that location.

But it feels like a terrible loss anyway.

If we have a thousand or so years left on this planet . . . (which some doubt – but I think it could be possible)  then historians at that time in the future will look back on America circa 1800-2100 and write us in as footnote, perhaps;  a footnote to a discussion about “democracies and republics after the tradition of Greece and Rome.”

That’s all.   Republics don’t last much longer than a couple hundred years.   But our immortal souls will,  and whatever political system we’re born into will not help determine our everlasting destiny.

Just so you know I’m not too alarmed by all this political mess.

So,  who’s running for the office of the president in the 2016 election?  I have two philosophical enemies:   One is the philosophy of Revolutionary Men:

That would be the French Revolution – the one that gave us the political terms  “Left” and “Right”  — sitting in the chairs on the Left side of parlement, or on the Right side.  It’s an old term that seems to linger . . .

Not your next pres

She, on the Left,  is currently the favorite of our Rulers.    I don’t know if she’ll make it.  There are some very bad reports of her ill health that just don’t go away and just keep increasing.  She might not make it.  She calls herself a Progressive,   which is about a deceptive a term as you can get.   (What does she want us to “progress”  towards?  If Americans were educated in their own Constitution and History,  they would not vote for her . . .  words.)

The other Leftist candidate at least is honest about his intentions:

O Bernie

(I’ve left the attribution in there.)

Socialism came right out of the French Revolution too (and it’s antecedents) and it has never worked anywhere it has been tried.  As a matter of fact,  wherever it has been imposed,  there has been increasing misery, poverty,   loss of freedom,  and historians have even had to invent a new name for the results of socialism:  Democide!    Well over 100,000,000 people have been killed intentionally by their own socialist governments, mostly in the 20th century.   Killed, punished, dimished,  and impoverished  their own citizens.

Astonishingly,  people either are unaware or unconcerned.   Socialist words are powerful -= because they appeal to human needs.  They don’t answer human needs,  they just appeal to human needs.      And good people hear that appeal.

But just so you know:  if the State sees to it that you get everything you need,  then the State will tell you what you need.   And what you can’t have.   What you need from the State will be defined by the State.  (Not exactly the American ideal of freedom.)

Maybe that’s why the deceptive “progressivism” wins votes too –  they’re a little more subtle about their methods.

But it’s all about gathering your votes.

How about the “other” side?    Those on the “Right”?

Really not much difference, I think, except for a few.   Our Rulers have the one or two that they will permit us.    If we put up too much of a fuss  with our ballot boxes,  then they risk being caught out in the open,  so  they may have to back down for a term or two.   Most of their “dislikes”  have had to drop out of the race;  they got very, very little media coverage, even though some of  their ideas were pretty good.

There is one remaining towering  (ahem!)  figure of defiance.     Just for fun, you may want to listen to how he is treated.   Everyone is talking about him.   If you know what an adjective is,   write down the adjectives you hear describing him on TV, radio, in newspapers, and in social media.    Then put the adjectives in two columns, one for negative, one for positive.

One of those columns will have zero words or phrases.

You can do that with images too,  images of him and images of people talking about him.  Two columns . . . .

The pope has apparently – today –  called this man “not-a-Christian” —  but since this comes from a man who says “we’re all God’s children” and “we’re all on the road to Heaven” —  then I guess that’s pretty meaningless.  What does it matter if you’re not a Christian, beyond some sort of traditional insult.      Well,he’s  “not one to judge” anyway.

Socialism appeals to human needs, to human emotions,  to human feelings.

So there is much in the various information sources about these characters in the 2016 presidential race;   all kinds of opinions.     You can find your way around them.

I  love the United States of America.   I think it was a good idea.    I just really wish enough people will rise up and put the fires out.

burning us

But we’re going to need a lot of intelligent firemen.

1 – IOWA CAUCUS

February 1, 2016

The Iowa caucus CAN BE an occasion to lift our thoughts above our usual superficial thinking, and above the thoughts that others give to us.   We can ask:  “What in the world is going on in Iowa?” So, in three parts,  I write for you some political thoughts;  that is,  thoughts that concern the Body Politic.

Initially, my first thought on a portion of  the Iowa caucus was this:

1.  SUPERANNUATED CHILDREN  GET TO VOTE

This is not the general population of Iowa!  But they say that the many supporters of Bernie Sanders there and elsewhere are mainly “young people.”    Though mentally and intellectually underage,  they do get to vote.

He is a self-declared “socialist,”  we have heard     These children who support the romantic notion of socialism have  NEVER been made to study or read or even become remotely acquainted with the effects of any political or social revolution, and so they believe the “socialist” revolution that they can produce by their enthusiasm will bring about a “better world.”

“Enthusiasm!  High hopes for change!  Our leaders will transform us into a better society!”     It sounds appealing.   But there is nowhere in the history of this planet that shows evidence for the success of socialism;  but everywhere it has been attempted, you will find its failure, especially in terms of over-extended and failing economies..

The children-voters don’t know.  They are uneducated.   But they are well-informed and  well-trained in the propaganda that brings about  “hope and change” in the context of Big Brother type governments which promise everything to everyone.

As one commenter says:  “I’m lazy.  I’m going to vote for Bernie Sanders because he’s going  to GIVE me everything I need.”

2.  A SOCIAL/POLITICAL REVOLUTION

This is a revolution in American thinking —   a revolution that has been inserting itself into our nation for the past several decades, and which is well under way to undermining our strength and viability in every sector of our society.

To succeed, it must use a generation of “children”  who have been miseducated,   propagandized, intellectually weakened ,  morally corrupted, and made to do all the things which have made humans feel justifiably guilty  for during the past ten thousand years (since at least the end of the last Ice Age).

They must have been made to love pleasure and to disdain hard work and independence — and they must be made fearful of  life and their own capabilities.  And they must not know the fatal  consequences to a nation that is conquered by socialism — after the “hopes and dreams”  become a disastrous reality.

3.  SOCIALISM AND SLAVERY

A pleasure-seeking, corrupted society is one that is easy to lead . . . .   Every socialist knows this.  Destroy the family,  destroy family values, and you have destroyed your strongest enemy.

“I’m going to vote for Bernie Sanders because he’s going to GIVE me everything I need.”

This is called:    slavery.

These super-annuated useful idiots, as Lenin called them (I wouldn’t call them that),  are indeed helping to bring about a kind of global slavery.

Personally,  I choose to observe the evidence of actual history.  I don’t trust people who smile at me and promise me good things — if only I give them more and more of my money for policies that have never yet worked and give up more and more of my privacy and freedom  for a “bright” future that has never yet begun to come about.

What gives me the right to disparage  our “young people”?   To shorten the length of this posting,   I’ll tell you and  I’ll put forward for you  two dangers,   the internal attack on our nation and the external attack –  both of which we can witness as they happen,  but I’ll do it in the next post.

A BOOKMARK FOR NOVEMBER 11

November 11, 2015

November 11.  In this country it’s Veteran’s Day,  honoring all those who have served in the armed forces.

And all the veterans of our armed forces certainly and emphatically deserve our honor – and our deep thanks.  I could write a lot of what others have said  about our veterans, about how they’re treated today –others have written well about our veterans.

I just want to remember today something a bookmark taught me.   I came across it unexpectedly in a book I was reading:

Ironically,  I was reading about the Russian Revolution — the  destruction of Russia by the Marxist socialists.  Their socialist revolution turned Russia into a giant political prison camp  for the next several generations:    The State is in charge of all activity.      Surveillance by government forces.    Politically correct speaking.    Group thinking.    Citizens spying on citizens.  The dreaded “knock in the middle of the night” — with no one daring to look at what happens next.    A complete shut-down of society.

And then I noticed what my book mark said:   “Freedom is not free.”

If you think you’re a “free”  citizen  in this country,  thank a veteran.    For the sake of political freedom,  we must especially revere those who fought and died in wars,  hot or cold wars,  that kept us free from the aggression of our external enemies.

I could also write about today’s  weak echo of our military armed forces compared with the Force they used to be.   I could write about how all the branches of the military, here in this country,   have been decimated by presidential fiat.

Purged.    All those experienced commanders of all ranks who are loyal to the United States have been put out of active military duty —  not infrequently right before they would have earned a pension . . .  because they represent a threat to the Man They Have Put In The Office Of Our Presidency.    While all other nations are working hard to build up their military forces,  ours have been reduced to about 1920’s level. *    (These from our internal enemies.)

I don’t know where this will lead.      I don’t know how many even know what’s been done to our military.     I don’t know if there are enough who will “push back”  and attempt to restore our military to levels safe for our country.

I do know my grandchildren will have far fewer  “veterans”  to honor.     Just plain . . . fewer.

* (Use a Search Engine;  use terms like:   “officers . . . purged . . .   from . . .   U.S.  . . .   military.    There will be a variety of sources.   Don’t use one of the well-known  Search Engines that censor the results.)

A quote,  for example,  from the Washington Times:

Senior officers must be extremely careful these days, in both their professional and personal lives. They must understand that they are under the microscope, and their careers have never been more vulnerable. If admirals, generals, colonels, captains and commanders feel like they must act like saints and walk on eggshells, well, that is today’s reality.

SATURDAY RANT: WE WERE BLACKED OUT!

January 24, 2015

A little pictorial RANT today : ( but first some words ) –

The largest gathering of Americans united for an ideal occurred this week – the largest, that is,  since last year this time!

Hurray!  We know how to come together to protect good things… like Life itself!

Only you may not know about it:   The LARGEST GATHERING OF AMERICANS FOR ANY ONE CAUSE!!!!

Even most of the people in my classes this week didn’t see it coming –  and more tragically for the continued existence of our Republic  which depends upon a “Free Press”   —  they  didn’t even see it.

Are you among the willingly ignorant?    If your news source is American radio or television or newspapers,  (the entertainment-news media in which pretty young actors and actresses sit behind an empty modern-looking desk and read scripts handed to them from the teleprompter near the camera),  if THIS is your news source,  the answer is yes.   (Because they have a tool –  it’s called Blackout.)

(Yes, willingly ignorant victims, I guess.)

What do they tell us about instead(Forget “inflategate” – that’s just another manifestation of Gotcha!  journalism mixed in with the marxist promotion of covetousness:  don’t you envy the successful?  don’t you envy the rich?  they must have cheated and stole from YOU!)

No, what kinds of gatherings are we told about?   Why, the gatherings paid for  and promoted by the One-World Billionaire (G.S.  —  an est.  30 – 40 million dollars of his own money)) which brought out people by the dozens!    by the hundreds in some places!   And one time, “over a thousand” people – “unofficially”  counted.    Tens of millions of dollars to bring about “emotional,  race-baiting protests”  in Missouri and New York, protests meant to divide us Americans.

Compare that to 300,000 this week.   More in past years by official Washington D.C. police count.

You missed 300,000 Americans this week  and were given a steady diet of hundreds of Americans over the past months.

There are so many sources of news out there.   No wonder they want to take the Internet down.

Oh, yes,  the pictures.   300,000 Americans ( mostly young people, I noticed)  also carried signs:

(“Can’t we all just get along?”)    —

Coexist

Future sister.  Future doctor.  Future teacher.   Future . . .  everything.

Future Sister

Got mean parents?

Mom's going to

I don’t like “crowd”   pictures because cameras can be made to lie,  but this really was a very large lively crowd of mixed ages  —   which was happy, peaceful, and left behind barely no trash or damage — they respect ALL life.

CrowdA seemingly endless stream of people on the streets.

From my Ghost Pictures folder:    “The Weeping Lady.”

weeping lady

She can see.   She sees.

BLACKOUT!  is just a tool used against the Citizens of this World.

GUM CONTROL FOR TODAY

January 9, 2015

From a letter written by George Washington: “But if we are to be told by a foreign power … what we shall do, and what we shall not do, we have Independence yet to seek, and have contended hitherto for very little.”    (a thank you to The Patriot Post)

Sarcastic humor like I used in the last post is an extreme form of humor, strong and aggressive.   It’s never good to use against a person;  but it sometimes helps when you make a point against an issue.
And this issue is a serious one, with our independent existence at stake.  And what is that “foreign power”  that Washington spoke about in the above quotation?  In our day it’s not hard to find:

From a recent article entitled: CANADA REFUSAL TO SIGN U.N. SMALL ARMS TREATY SPARKS DEBATE, and then an American commenter (not my words):

Canada refused to sign the UN small arms treaty.       We did.
Wait a minute.
Aren’t we the ones with the Second Amendment?
What did our Rulers do to American citizens that Canada refused to do to their citizens?

So read again those words by George Washington:

“But if we are to be told by a foreign power
… what we shall do, and what we shall not do,
we have Independence yet to seek,
and have contended hitherto for very little.”

This is NOT “American History”!   Here is a news article from today’s pile of news:

For people to be able to enjoy their “Second Amendment Rights”, Attorney General Eric Holder proposed to a House subcommittee that Americans should have to wear “gun-tracking bracelets” in order to “lawfully” discharge a firearm in the future.

“I think that one of the things that we learned when we were trying to get passed those common sense reforms last year, the Vice President  and I had a meeting with a group of technology people and we talked about how guns can be made more safe”, Holder stated to the subcommittee.

Holder went on to say, “By making them either through finger print identification, the gun talks to a bracelet or something that you might wear, how guns can be used only by the person who is lawfully in possession of the weapon.”

I don’t understand that last sentence;  perhaps the words got garbled by the recorder.  But the meaning is there.  The threat is there.    Want to wear an RFID bracelet if you are a gun owner?    And notice that the words “Second Amendment Rights”  is put in quotation marks –  by the newspaper reporter!

In all of Christendom,   individuals have had the right to protect themselves,   to protect their families,   and to protect their property.   And in Christendom, remember,  the laws of the Christian nations were harmonized with Christian principles, and  our God-given, unalienable rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

A nation throws off Christianity at its own peril.

(Yes,   just “Imagine,”  Mr.  John Lennon —   But, sadly,  we don’t even have to imagine anymore;  we have the example of the 20th century  world leaders without “religion.”)

Disclaimer, maybe:    I don’t own  gum to put in my hand.

The U.S. Is Over, Get Used To It

The U.S. Is Over, Get Used To It.

The above link is a post NOT written by me;  nevertheless it expresses much of what I write on Tuesdays here.

Also, I was “experimenting”  with the inner-blog-to-blog controls.   Much thanks to the Creative Minority Report for making this available.

EQUALITY vs. OPPORTUNITY

September 26, 2014

What would you do if you were really poor?   Poor and getting older?

SAMSUNG

There’s been quite a bit of discussion this week about the words spoken by the poor benighted young teacher  who protested not being allowed to teach her middle school children about the evils of America and of capitalism.     “How can we  teach that America is all about guaranteeing our equality if we can’t explore the . . .”  evildoings of America, or whatever.

She was quite sure that America is “all about equality”  and that this country should assure the equality of all people.

Sounds like a nice slogan,  but it happens to be not true.

Equality before the law, yes.  The law applied to all equally,  yes.   But our immigrant forefathers did  not  come here so they could have what everyone else has;  those “huddled masses yearning to be free”  came here so that they could freely pursue their own idea of a fulfilled life (also known as “happiness”).

They didn’t want equality,  they wanted equal opportunity.  America is all about opportunity.  To succeed.  To fail.  To try again.

So that’s why I posted that photo up above.   I took the photo this morning when I was grocery shopping at  our local Meijer store.  I understand they’re spreading around the Midwest  now.  That’s good.  They’re a decent store with customer-friendly policies and pretty low prices for their giant selection of household goods and groceries.

Meijer store

The story of Mr. Meijer, a legal immigrant from Holland, is told on that sign.   His family circumstances faltered and failed during the great economic depression of the 1930s,  but he believed that America gave him the opportunity to “try something.”    And try he did, and he succeeded.    I am one of the beneficiaries of his success, and I wouldn’t dream of taking away his money to “make it fair” for me.   He is entitled to every penny that he has earned, and I hope he earns more so he can expand the number of his stores and employ thousands more people and make thousands more customers happy.

This is the land of opportunity, not the land of equal outcomes.   That poor young, uneducated teacher of our children was trained with the wrong ideas about her country and she is training our next generation with those wrong ideas.

Full disclosure soon came:    As it turns out,  she was told to say these words by her Union, which is very angry about the school district  (the school board, the parents)  instituting Merit Pay in the school district.   How dare they interfere!!!    How dare anyone critique a teacher’s value to the school district!!!    How dare they expose to the parents what they are actually teaching our children!!!  *

Mr.  Meijer rose to his position with courage,  honesty,  hard work, taking a profit and giving much of it back to the communities where he has his stores.   Thank goodness he was a man of solid Judeo-Christian values.

SHORT “TUESDAY TRIBUTE” with JOSEPH AND HIS RULER

May 7, 2014

Car okay;  driver still down, a bit.

But I’m listening to the news as I get better.   Mainstream media is very happily repeating and repeating and repeating our Rulers’ desire to redistribute our wealth – take from successful people and countries and pass our money through their hands,  hoping that we’d believe our money will some day  get to countries “in need.”

I don’t know.   If they scare you enough,  would you begin to  believe them?

All evidence to the contrary,   would you impoverish yourself to make the sun stop affecting our weather?    Would you give up some of your money and your independence to make the sun stop having its 510-year  cycles so our climate wouldn’t have “disturbances” ?

A Tuesday Tribute to our (victorious, 11-06-12) Rulers who are trying so hard to “disturb” us by telling us our activities are causing “disturbances” in the climate.

How about a peek at the last ten thousand years?

cycle chart

Dear Rulers:  This is before automobiles were invented.   Maybe you should begin studying Joseph of the Bible.    He knew another cycle was going to begin, and he convinced his ruler (pharaoh) to begin storing up grain and preparing for the coming drought and food shortages.   Pharaoh was smart.   Egypt prepared.  Egypt and many other peoples were saved through difficult climate “disturbances.”

Dear Algore:  We know how you cheated in your inconvenient eighth-grade level power point movie –  You cut off the chart to make it fit the conclusions our Rulers told you to have.

Dear National “Geographic”:   We know how you cheated by cropping the polar bear photo just right to scare us into thinking their icebergs were melting and their water was rising.     There is more ice cover now in the world than when you did that a few years ago.

I. ON EDGE – LOOKING OUT OVER THE EDGE

January 26, 2014

horse up

Aaaaaargh!   I know it’s Sunday…a day of peace and rest and time spent with our Creator.   Then why am I so On Edge?

Sarek 70  I have my reasons.      And I’m sure the Ambassador would say again:  “The cause is sufficient.”

First,   Son is  M.I.A –  as in missing.    Again.      After spending several days across the country beyond the reach of  cell phones, he is now overdue….(by a Mom’s schedule.)

He does not do Return Homes  very well.

I checked his final Arriving airport –  all planes are “on time” except the ones from his Layover city.   Those four are canceled.   I go to the site of his Layover city.   There are only three flights canceled:   the three from his Departure city.   On two long lists,  only seven flights in this country are Canceled –  Son’s !!

I’m on edge.

Which reminds me of other things that put me On Edge:

horses

It’s going to be all downhill for a while.   These are big things which I will experience,  but I can’t affect the course of the “experience.”

Here are a few:

World Finances:     The men who are managing Hubbie’s Trust tell me to expect a 5% “correction”  soon.  Other places tell me 5% – 20%.  That is a serious downturn for all of us to experience.

It just might expose for us the worldwide financial collapse that many see is already happening….  We are ill-prepared for shortages and rises in prices. . . .

Upcoming Media Events of Possible Unpleasant Outcome:

1.  The Olympics at Sochi;

2.   The Superbowl in New Jersey;  and

3.   The State of the Union speech ordeal, outlining how great socialist principles would be for this country.   (Socialism 101:   The government has a plan for you.)

My ancestors from Finland passed down to us the realities of socialism.

The Overall World Dominance of Socialism  (known to some as The Errors of Russia)     Do you see the dominance?    There is a call for a socialist revolution – in America!     Here, at this link, for instance.

FLAG AmerComm

The new socialist high school  “social studies”  textbook being used in several places now is getting quoted by people who ought to know better, and by young people who don’t.     See Howard  Zinn,  here, for instance.

There is a Marxist-trained person elected to sit in the “Chief-Seat” in the Vatican – and oft quoted.    (His order and their New Theology was once condemned by the very Vatican that he now heads.)   Enough said.

There is a Marxist-trained person placed in the “Chief-Seat”  in my country.    (The media proclaims he is not a Marxist, but then freely proclaims the Marxists who were his most crucial mentors,)   Enough said.

There are plagues and pestilences building up,  just waiting to go global,  just at a time when medical care in this country is being curtailed.

There are “earth worries” of increasing earthquakes, severe weather outbreaks,  newly discovered asteroid threats, food shortages, and the ongoing noticeable poisoning of the planet by the Fukushima accident.

I’ve sometimes read that when the End Times are upon us,   and when this world system is brought to an end, under judgment,  the circumstances will be very terrible.   And just at this time, when Good seems to be defeated, a special kind of saint will be created…that is,  men and women with special graces for the strength needed to give help and light to  as many as possible.    These will be saints stronger than have ever been needed before.   Saints able to stand up for the true Christ who saves.

The view from the edge:

So, since I can look over the Edge at all kinds of world events that seem to be reaching some disastrous climax, and after  becoming aware that I as an individual cannot affect the course of these events, nor their outcomes,  then I can at least hope for and work for and ask for the special graces that God is so willing to give – to those who ask.

(I still want Son here, to talk to him about this.)   Talking about these things freely and openly takes the “edge” off.

MESSAGE TO TUESDAY’S “WINNERS”

January 14, 2014

Yes.   Tuesday.   My day to send off a “tribute”  to our rulers who tell us they won on that infamous Tuesday,  11-06-12.

My message for this week’s tribute is:   “You are not entitled to what other people have.”

That’s all.   Repeat twenty times    If you’re not sure of the truth of that statement,  repeat one hundred times.

Don’t worry,  it’s not a trick;   it’s not propaganda;   it’s a true statement.   The United States of America was not built upon individuals taking money from others, because we know that simple “redistribution”   diminishes everyone,  even the one who receives the unearned money.

It lowers the morale,   the dignity,   the wealth,  the character, the morality of all citizens.

“You are not entitled to what other people have.”

The end.

Unless you want a “funny”  example.    I heard a truck driver call in on an all-night radio show, telling everyone that he had had a great insurance policy.   He is 61 years old, not married,   fairly healthy, and his affordable  insurance policy worked for him.     He called in because our Rulers took it away from him.    In its place, he has to buy a more expensive (unaffordable)  policy,  one “above his budget,”  he said,   and one that doesn’t cover very many of his medical expenses.    By law, he must pay more for less.

Why did he have to lose his policy?    Because our Rulers told him his policy did not cover him for gynecological check-ups and  pregnancy.

old manSince that night on the radio I’ve heard other old men (and older women)  talking about similar reasons for losing their insurance policies.    These retired people now have to pay for pregnancy care,   birth control pills,   the elective killing of their own unborn babies,   and sterilization procedures.

old ladyThese nice little old men and ladies will never, ever ask their insurance companies to pay for such procedures.  It would be physically impossible to ever need such services.     But they’re not allowed to have affordable insurance policies that don’t provide these unneeded services.

I began to ask myself why?  Don’t our rulers know that little old men can’t have babies?   Don’t they know that little old women will never need —

Oh.   I realized they do know.    It’s not about “substandard” insurance policies.   That term is just to make us feel nice about protecting people from something that is called “substandard”  by our Rulers’ definitions.

According to them,  if the 61-year-old truck driver doesn’t ever use the birth control pill coverage,   then he SHOULD pay for it for other people.   His money goes to those who don’t  pay for the results of . . . recreation of that kind.     They CAN’T pay,  so the one who has money SHOULD pay for them — and our Rulers will see to it that they do!     Taking money from one group and handing it out to another group.

Message to our Rulers:   “You are not entitled to what other people have.”

Please.   Men of Valor.     Stand up against this Health Control Bill.   Redistribution of our money is not even the worst of it.

HAZEL, KHRUSHCHEV, & THE HAND OF BORGIA

October 16, 2013

It all started with a trip to OfficeMax yesterday.

Office Max

I’ve done some pretty inventive things with my computers, cell phones, cameras,  e-readers and MP3 players lately.     But this time both my cell phone and camera were giving me some warning signals that they were “full up to here” and they didn’t seem to appreciate my creative tinkering.   I tried connecting and downloading and exporting but was always stopped by some pretty strange messages from my devices, and since very precious photos were at stake, I decided to get some professional help.

I cannot praise these people highly enough.  After just a few minutes I said good-bye to the OfficeMax people, having great confidence, two happy devices with brand-new storage,  old SD-cards in good condition, and a few new ones to spare.    I’ve spent hours now, reviewing and downloading three years’ worth of photos into every electronic thing I can think of.

“Wow.  Was that me?”     “Was that my life?”    “Was that how it was when Hubbie was still alive?”    “Am I still me with all these changes?”    I found my favorite photo of Hubbie.  It was in the Fall, just a few years ago.  He was in my favorite shirt, a tan plaid, flannel shirt.  ( Have you ever hugged someone in a tan, plaid, flannel shirt?   mmmm)     Well. . . .   That photo sure brought me back to … the past, which I can still feel.

School Days.

bus city

During this time, a random search for a weather report sent me to the television and the Weather Channel, which was just then giving a “nostalgic”  photo review of Hurricane Hazel.   Instantly, I was transported back to my school days, a little girl on a school bus, watching out the window as the “Chicago City Limits” sign glided past, knowing I’d still have fifteen long minutes to go before I was home.

DCF 1.0I spent a lot of time daydreaming from the inside of a school bus –  until I was old enough to roller skate back and forth to school!

Hazel:

hazel the witch At 8 years old,  when I heard “Hazel,”  I thought of Hazel the Witch, of course.   And cartoon witches were fun, but real witches were bad.    So – at 8 years old –  I was musing about the grown-ups who had named a hurricane after a witch.    I’m not sure I knew what a hurricane was, and I’m not sure if I knew the word “appropriate,”  but it seemed fitting that a storm that brought such bad things should be named after a witch.

Hurricane Hazel Damage

Hurricane Hazel Damage

So…I had experienced two uses for the name Hazel.   And then I thought of my friend who knew someone who had a cousin who had an aunt who was named Hazel.    Ahhh.    So real people were named Hazel.   Poor them.

I can still “feel” that sense of discovery, that words have so many meanings.    I can still feel what it was like to be a little girl in a school bus wondering about all these things.    As my SD cards showed me,   I am “me” then and now.

Another thing filled our world when I was a little girl, and it was still there when I was a teenager, a young married woman,  and now…. all the things I am now.  It was the presence of Premier Khrushchev, of the Soviet Union.      Their growing strength and overtly threatening words were a part of our everyday life.    The Cold War was real.  We were all thankful it was staying “cold.”

The documents that guided the Soviet Union were sacred directives, and eventually produced a plan  that was discussed in our Congress.    It was  a step-by-step plan for overtaking America in the only way they realized that they could:  by stealth, and not by outright war.   It’s often called The 45 Goals of Communism in America.   You can use any Search engine for that, or if I figure out how to use the More function on this computer, I’ll copy them there.

I grew up knowing these goals, at least knowing they were there…knowing some of them…knowing them less and less because it was one of the goals to be “stealthy” about their plans,  and since they succeeded in our media and in our government and in our schools,  they succeeded in being stealthy.

Socialism is part of the ongoing revolutionary revolt against the Church.   That’s why the Soviet Union proclaimed itself to be atheist.    That’s why the national socialists of Germany executed so many Catholics…and those of other faiths.     The forces of the self-named “enlightenment,”  of the French Revolution, of the various republican revolutions of the 19th century,  of the various communist revolutions of the 20th century,  of Liberation Theology and the takeover of the Church, the European Union, the communists’ foundation of the United Nations,   of the socialist takeover of the United States. . . .  The Revolution isn’t over yet.

And I fret.

And then I feel that “heavy hand” of St. Francis de Borgia on my shoulder –  Nunca Mas! –  and I remember I was still “me”  through all the history I’ve seen, just as St. Francis served his God and king through all the historic changes he saw.   And I know deep down that in spite of what was going on around him, he wrote what he wrote,  he did what he did,  he taught what he taught and he did all because he was serving God first.      Circumstances didn’t change his faith.    He reached that most important goal of Eternal Heavenly Rest.   I know what he’s saying to me.

PSALM 66 –

May God have mercy on us, and bless us: may he cause the light of his countenance to shine upon us, and may he have mercy on us.

That we may know thy way upon earth: thy salvation in all nations

Let people confess to thee, O God: let all people give praise to thee.

Let the nations be glad and rejoice: for thou judgest the people with justice, and directest the nations upon earth.

Let the people, O God, confess to thee: let all the people give praise to thee:

The earth hath yielded her fruit. May God, our God bless us,

May God bless us: and all the ends of the earth fear him.
